I encourage the parents and friends of our pilgrims to visit the World Youth Day website at www.wyd2005.de (you will have to select the ENGLISH site and then you may have to select ENGLISH from the box at the top of the screen one more time) Click on Current Topics (on left side) and read some of the stories there. Stories on how the Marienfeld is setup for the big mass, how 380 girls are staying at an IKEA store, and how visitors from Palestine are staying with German families. Great stories all.

Functionally, between the death of JP II and Benedict XVI, we had 'One Less Pope' since today everyone seems to act as if they are Pope. Let Benedict XVI know that he is your and our Pope! Let him know he does not have to compete with us for the Papacy! Make it another Good Day right where you are at! Do not wait for it to happen! Do not leave it up to someebody else! Continue to share your Charisms! Warmest Regards! Barry

Dom comes from Latin "Domus Dei" (house of the lord). In Italian it is "doumo". It's a common name for a cathedral or other important churches in Germany. Kölner (Cologne) Dom http://www.koelner-dom.de But the rules are not really fix. Some are called Münster (minster), e.g Freiburger Münster. Or in Munich the "Dom" is just called "Frauenkirche" (Church of Our Lady). Or in Berlin the St. Hedwigs Kathedrale (St. Hedwig's Cathedral). In Frankfurt there is the "Kaiserdom" (Emperor's Cathedral), here the coronation of the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire took place. But strictly seen this is only a parish church.

Hi Guys !!! Hope you are all having an unforgetable experience. What did you think of Rome and Assisi? Let us know what you have been up to. We are all thinking about you, and praying for you. Do the same for us. Keep an eye on Mrs. Cahoon and Kristen - I want to know if they are causing trouble! I know all of our sweet St. Michael angels are behaving perfectly. Say "Hi" to the Holy Father for me if you get a chance. Don't forget to brush your teeth and say your prayers (sorry, that's the mom in me). luv, Mrs.G.

We're all waiting to hear that the WYD pilgrims got off that bus, enjoyed the Rhine River cruise and are beginning to experience all that Cologne and WYD has to offer. Are you taking lots of pictures, Adam? Can't wait to see updates on this website. We all miss you, Adam!
