The carnaval pics are great. You all looked great in your costumes. Now I'd never be able to get away w/ that little clothing off of the beach! I'm glad to hear you had a good time... By the way, I leave to Buenos Aires on Wednesday. I'm excited, but the trip came upon me so fast! Anyway, keep the pics coming on the website. |

My brother and I just returned from our own personal journey to Cabo Verde...we went to Sao Felipe, Fogo and Praia, Santiago...(San Martin Pequeno) Looking at your pictures I felt the sodadi that CV's abroad feel when they hear the music from the homeland and miss the life they had there even though the conditions in many places are harsh. Home is Home....Now that the travel back and forth between the States and Cabo Verde is easier with the TACV airlines, more and more, American- CapeVerdeans will make the pilgrimage "home" and hopefully become interested in investing in the islands as some of the politicos are calling for. I will be back in touch... I am forwarding this to others in our CV community as well.....God Speed C. Teixeira |

Hola Veronica! I love, love, love your journal and your pictures. Your town's center is beautiful. I can see so many cultural similarities in just looking at your pictures - the buildings, the people, and the island backdrop... The people of CV sound very giving... Enjoy Carnaval! Be safe and I can't wait to read and see more on the website.
Abrazos,
Sabrina |
