I was born there and came to this country in 78. Only been back once in 88. I have heard that things have changed tremendously. I have sent my children twice and they cant get enough of this beautiful Island. Please keep up with your journal and pictures for I have enjoyed reading and viewing. |

I am a 3rd generation Brava, Cabo Verde/American! who has long since lost my grandmother and great mother and aunts and uncles. I looked at your pictures and they honestly brought me to tears.
They made me long for the days back again when they were still here with us. I am going to visit someday soon, where my people come from and I know that I will not be able to keep from crying because I know she will be so proud that I came to see where she was born... her sweet, sweet Cabo Verde that she loved so. |
