Sorry for the lack of posting guys, I am still alive, I wasn't shot in any of the xenophobic riots in Jo'berg, rather I was sinking my feet into the snow at Lesotho before rushing down the sand dunes in Namibia. As soon as I get to an internet that will let me upload photos I'll do a double post. Hope you're all well.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack! My computer chucked a hissy fit and had to go to computer hospital (all better now) and when I tried to leave you a message at work it wouldnt allow me to. Stupid work computers. Oh well, I dont work there anymore so that wont be a problem again! Is your email working again? If not I will write to you on (sharp intake of breath) Facebook!

aYo! In a sudden surge of guilt/ fear that bad karma would rear its ugly head, I've powered through the last 5 journals of yours, paying particular attention to the photos. Mention needs to be made to Alex's flourishing facial hair. Considering that I've been going through most of these entries back to back, the effect is not dissimilar to watching a time lapsed growth of a "chia pet". To be honest, I think half the reason I haven't kept up to date beforehand is the encompassing jealousy when I see the wildly different and somewhat surreal imagery that you guys must be somewhat accustomed to by now! And I stand corrected (well, sit). Between the landscapes, wildlife, culture and Alex's gruff sailor beard, I can't really say which has perplexed me the most! I dig the words as well, very easy to imagine the scenarios you find yourselves in, knowing you, they probably aren't much exaggerated. Anyway, trying to keep it short (failing miserably), just wanted to let you guys know, I am reading and watching intently. The folks are also keeping tabs. Dad reads these on a frequency that rivals his Big Brother obsession) and if Mum could type, I'm sure she'd be sending lots of love to both you guys (albeit in a very much grammatically incorrect manner). Cheers, and ffs stay clear of the water. Kind Regards, Marcus

I haven't sold any photos yet, but if you hear of anyone that wants some, send them my way. I have however gotten more "picture of the day" on this site. One today of the sewers in Paris, one yesterday of the tunnel where Princess Di died, one last week of the Paris torch relay and one a while ago of Notre Dame at night with the full moon, so yeah for me! SUE & CAJUN. Everywhere we go we keep on bumping into people telling us how wonderful Zimbabwe is. We forgot to ask you when we saw you if you managed to get in touch with your friends there?

Hi Alex We look forward to reading about your travels as you encounter Africa. Just want to let you know that if you can possibly go up the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, do so - new info tells me that it is totally worth going to Umfolozi Game Reserve. We'll be there next week... yay! From the crazy Permaculturists
