hey, i love the elephant photos - elephants are ace. Um and i think by the startled look on the ostrich's faces, they don't want to be ridden - in fact i think RSPCA, PETA and Animal Liberation are all studying these pictures closely..
Send me a postcard from prison!

Shit, and that can leave you on a drip!??!?!
I knew about not drinking water, but just thought you got nausea or something.
Oh well, hope the trip of late has been including a significantly lower amount of hospital visits! |

Water in different cities is made using different chemicals and purification system, so there are different microbes in the water. Locals are fine because they bodies are used to it, but because we're not it makes us susceptible. Large international cities are usually fine, and we were okay in Cape Town, but we thought we’d be fine in rural SA, obviously not. I guess the 50c we were saving on water is cheaper than the hospital bill. |

Two hospital trips already? Not off too a good start. How on earth did you end up in hospital because of water! |

hey alex! for some reason which was probably unintentional but also quite appropriate, i have been left off the travel emails. ho-hum. so this means mum telling me you had posted a new blog, telling Marcus to forward it to me and then 3 months later.. Marcus forwarding it to me. so i decided to just subscribe myself (sheesh am i gonna have to re-subscribe each time you go overseas?!). Looks like you and Chloe are having a ball - the photos of Africa are gorgeous and i'm extremely envious! Hope you're both well, :) |
