While we're talking about Kotooshu, he's pulled out of the tournament. I'm not 100% sure why, probably related to injury. It's sad, but I'm happy I got to see him while he was still playing.

There are heaps of foreigner Sumo players. The one you're talking about is my favorite and he's from Bulgeria. The current champion is from Mongolia. They're getting worried that foreigners are getting better at their game then they are, so they've limited the number of foreigners to only one per stable, but they still want to get it into the Olympics. Mixed messages i think. |
