I am glad for you that you are "just" struggling with spiny trees and not with the matter of science. By reading your journals I got the impression that - more or less - everything works fine? Although I admit climbing up the trees sounds possibly easier as it is...
It would be great if your project gives good results. That provides you with more energy and passion to analyse your data...
