Hi there, Just happened to come across your photos while looking for pictures on Yantzaza. I will take the liberty to elaborate this message a little more.First of all your journal entries and photos are awesome I must say. Your experiences sound very adventurous. Co-incidently my boyfriend happens to be a current PCV stationed in Ecuador. He's in Cayambe now, but will be stationed at Yantzaza for the next two years. If you get a chance do visit his myspace account where he posts his blogs on Peace corps regularly. His name is Zachary Dreaden and he is from Florida. I will paste his myspace url in the email. Thanks for taking time to read this. Hope you enjoy reading Zac's blogs. Cheers, Komal

So happy to come across your website! I devoured your journal entries--such candid (sometimes comical) reports of life in the Amazon. Some of the photos you took are gut-wrenching in some ways, but I certainly devoured them too! I printed your journals and hope to bind it in a folder to share someday with my daughter (4yo) who is Shuar. Thank you!

Andre: Having lived in southern Ecuador, as you are aware, I too know the trials and triumphs one enconters there. I KNOW you are trimphing beautifully. Hope to see you back States-side soon. Good luck finishing your service there, although I have a feeling you will extend. I am proud of you and miss you. Ohh yeah...I still think you're cuter than Brent!

Your photos bring back a lot of memories. Mostly good since time seems to remove most of the bad experiences. Wife and I served as PCV in "67-"69 in Limon (otherwise known as General Plaza). Hope things are going well. See some of the rest of the Country. Wife and I seldom traveled while there and I have always regretted not seeing more of Ecuador. We spent a couple of weeks in Mendez and several months in San Juan Bosco helping to complete a school. Keep up the good work. Phil & Sue Tack

I've enjoyed looking over your work, and it appears that you're doing well as a PC ambassodor. My site was Pedernales just north of the Equator on the coast -- a life and career changing experience. Next week I will meet with your program director Francisco, where together, we hope to make an impact on the world while sharing our programs at the 1st World Congress of Agroforesty. Hang in there and be safe.

I loved seeing your photos and reading your journal entries! I am thinking of studying in Ecuador for 9 months or so, and it was great to read your stories and get an idea of what it may be like. Hang in there!

Hello Supernova, I just emailed you, but I thought I'd sign the guestbook as well. I am fascinated with your entries and check in every week to see what you are up to. I happened across your site by accident and have been glued ever since. I really enjoy your pictures. Take it easy down there and I hope your rat problems have gone away!

Your journals are awesome. Thanks for giving such a candid account of PCV life with all its highs and lows. Wishing you luck, strength, scuttle-free nights and a full meatless tummy, Angel Nominated for Central/South America, 06-04

Andre: Your mom shared your website with me...wow! I have known Patti for probably the better part of 25 years...though we fell out of contact probably the past 10+. Just spent a weekend with she and John in Big Bear. I find your journal and pictures spectacular! I have sons - Miles, age 22 (recent Dartmouth Grad) and Devin, age 19 (1st year Cornell); and have referenced your website to them in emails - hoping they will take the time to enjoy your endeavors! Well, from an "unknown" in your life...just wanted to say hello and tell you I appreciate your work via the website!! (I understand you will be spending some days at Patti and John's over the holidays...have a wonderful 2004!!)...Melaney Harrigan
