It looks a wonderful trip. My wife's idea of fun is being nearly anywhere. So far it has primarily europe for us.
2003-07-23 00:00:00 , Canberra - Oz!,
Hi guys! Thanks a bunch for the message, it was great to hear from you both again. Just had another look at your piccies on the site and they soon had us chuckling! So you're home safe - back to the real world of great food and proper beer eh, what's it like? We're lost somewhere in Canberra in a leaky Wicked camper that doesn't like to get up in a morning - bring back any memories! Well, we'll press on, take care both of you and we'll mail more when we get ten. Hopefully see you both soon. Scotty & Sarah.x

Every time I read one of your entrees I think how awesome it is that the two of you are sharing such great experiences together. Most couples never spend as much time with each other let along experience such diverse cultural happenings. Sounds like Venice was a zoo and the gondola rides are movie props versus reality. It will be great to have you back in the U.S. soon - too bad you'll miss Sawyer's 1-year birthday party. He's a cutie and growing fast! Enjoy the rest of the journey!
2003-06-18 00:00:00 , Finally Summer,
Yeeeeahhhhh, you're coming home soon!

Hi Kristy and Pat, As always your journals are very interesting reading. Good to hear you've left China and your feeling no symptons of SARs. Have fun in Scotland, we're looking forward to Jun 23rd and all the beautiful pictures. Take Care and Be Safe. Just a thought I had, we've had more conversations during your world wide trip then when you were here in the states, I guess that tells you how boring things get when you get in a Rut. Love Ya

Hope you're staying safe, meeting more peeps, and learning the international language of peace and love. Rene

Hey you two! I just got back from my cruise a few days ago and had to catch up on quite a few entries! I am so sorry you got sick Kristy, the slippery pee must have made it even more enjoyable! Glad you are better. Continue to have a safe trip. Spring is finally on its way here in MN!!

Hi guys, great reading your Nepal tales. Got so excited that we decided we didn't want to miss out on the experience. So we found a grocery store and climbed in the chest freezer for an hour, we also held our breaths too, to simulate thin air, somehow feel we're missing something though! Glad you're well, we're due to leave here tomorrow bound for Thailand again! Take care and mail when you get ten. PS, presume the toe's better Kristy?? Scotty & Sarah.xx

Poor Risty, you got soo sick. I could not do that. Being sick is bad enough let alone being in a cold and smelly outhouse. You are a brave and strong soul! I never knew you had it in you! Even the altitude must have been hard to deal with. I miss you so much so please be very safe and very careful as the war is going on and there are people in all countries who do not like us Americans. Love to you and Pat.

Hi guys! Kristi, you're doing an amazing job with this journal. Glad to hear you're still going strong. The weather's finally improving here...50s and the snow has melted. Stay safe and have a great time!

2003-03-10 00:00:00 , Hoi An - Vietnam,
Xin khao! Just read 'bootless', gave us a good giggle! Hope you're both well as guess you'll be virtually out of Nepal by the time you get this. We're still in 'Nam' and having a ball, now that i'm over dysentry and recovered from my moped accident! The food here is great and cheap as hell, although we're having to pay a bit more for rooms than in Thailand, however they are a lot better quality, satellite TV, fridge, swimming pool - HOT WATER(!!) all for about US$10. Hoi An seems the best place so far. Keep safe and drop us a mail when you get 10. Love Scotty & Sarah.xx

Hey Guys! You look fabulous in your pictures. The "trekking" life obviously agrees with you. Guess what? It's still winter here, although the cardinals are singing like crazy. Sometimes it even smells a little like spring. Keep having fun. Love Ya~Marci

I can only imagine the boot finding experience! At least you had good company and a fine meal. We all miss you. Sawyer is crawling and acting as the human swiffer cleaning up all of Whiskey's hair. We are snowed in today and loving it, no work for me. I hope your Nepalese journey turns out well. Chris and I would love to be with you. But instead we will sit home and play with Sawyer and think of you both. I know you are not, but we are counting down to July. Love you both...

Hi, you guys. Have been having trouble with our computer so I have a lot of letter reading to do. It is Wednesay the 5th of March, actually Ash Wenesday. It is my day to baby sit Sawyer but we our all snowed in. Lori got a snow day and I'm going to clean house, and miss our baby Sawyer. You see the exciting life we lead. I, personally, have had enough of winter. You guys, are certainly having fun and I am very envious, especially, since Tony's idea of fun is a full stomach, dinner cooked by Joan and playing with computer all evening. We are all pretty good. Grama is having some vision problems, actually she has a blockage and is barely able to see. We are hoping it will improve. DAvid went for a short vacation to Dessert Springs CA. He went with new friend, Betsy and her parents. I think it is a real "posh" place. Have fun, your journals are great.

Risty, I miss you so. we just got back from St. Maarten and had a blast. We stayed with Katy and also went to Anguilla, St.Barts and Saba. I wish we could travel even more like you are but we were not as smart as you and dont have the money! What a great experience for you guys. You'll never even remember all the stories to tell us when you get home. Good thing you have the journal. When do you get back home? Keep on enjoying yourselves. Love you, Sherryl

And there was this one time..! Ha ha!! Hope you're both well, Sarah read out your last mail about the Himalaya's which made me sick as hell. Just reading a book about the 1996 Everest disaster as it happens. Been tyring to get more onto the website but struggling at our end for some reason. Could do with your catalogue of 'traveljournals' knowledge right now Kristie! OK better shoot as back in BK and meeting our Thai chum for dinner later. Take care and keep safe.xx PS. Couldn't find that blinkin storage place anywhere - hoping our mate will keep our gear for us maybe! TTFN!!

Kristy & Pat- I think this is the coolest thing I have ever known anyone to do. You guys are going to have such great memories from this adventure. Thanks for sharing the trip with us! Though I would have been on my way home after the fist-sized spiders on your first day... I'm a whimp, which is why I am reading this on my computer in Rochester... Be Safe! Have fun!
2003-02-05 00:00:00 , Oxford,MI,
Your last entry was so much fun to read, your explanations are so vivid sometimes I feel like I'm there. Thank God for a good imagination, it's the closest I'll ever get to Thailand. It is 20 degrees here and getting colder, thought you'd want to know that. Have fun, learn lots, and keep writing. Love Auntie Roe
