Thank you for sharing your experience. I was in Otavalo a year ago (Oct. 2005) for a week and have such wonderful memories! I can't wait to go back (maybe in 2007?), but in the meantime I look back fondly on the pictures from my trip. Laguna de Cuicocha is awesome, the people of Otavalo are wonderful, the atmosphere is enchanting, and the bargains are great! Next time you go, you've got to hike to Cascada de Peguche (Peguche Falls) -- you'll love it! I'd love to go back for another couple weeks sometime to immerse myself more fully next time.
