I'm glad that 'The Goodwood Experience' was at the latter part of your holiday.... because, how do you top that!! What a lovely time you have been having. We are really looking forward to having you home and hearing your stories first-hand. Sardinia sounded like the best place to be given that England's weather was typically 'English weather.' Take care and enjoy the next few weeks. We'll see you soon.

Sherri,
Just spent a moment catching up on your exciting life!
The kids & I met Tania for lunch during the school holidays at QPACs' green room. It is becoming a regular holiday event for us (you know I like good value!!).
I also bought an annual pass to the Science museum which the kids were impressed with. We went to the Science magic show and the demonstrator exploded a helium balloon - which was startling.
My kids are with the Granparents today at Movie world - so many theme parks - so little time!! They are being thouroughly spoilt at the Grandparents have sais they will take them to Sea World tomorrow as well...sounds very exhausting.
I as you can imagine, am enjoying the end of financial year panic...but there is no need for thoughts like that in a travel journal.
I should however tell you it is freezing in Brissy today - got the ugg boots and the heater on!

Hello my trsvelling family,
I finally caught up with your travels courtesy of Helen and Kerry and a little respite at Mooloolaba. What a wonderful time you are having. My mouth waters and you are such a travel writer Sherri that I feel like I'm there with you. Brings back memories I think, and sets up visions for the future. Come on retirement, I say.
The house at Fig Tree Pocket is a little lonely but thankfully you guys are there in spirit. At least that's what Buddy thinks as he settles at the door waiting for the sound of little feet. He would enjoy the motor home. He still has the wandering bug just like his folks. We have him securely at home though. Hmmmm perhaps he needs a little tent and a night under the stars to bring him indoors just like B&J.
Now that my marking for the semester is finished I will get a little more time to read your journal. C'est bliss. I miss you guys and am looking forward to the 11th July when Tanya and I head south for our Tassie sojourn. Keep posting your stories. We love them. Hopefully Tanya and I will have some stories for you soon.
Au revoir, Di

Love to enjoy my morning coffee and be spirited away to whatever you guys are doing on the other side of the world. Great writing from you both. Loved to hear Rob's race account - go Speed Racer! And from you Shez... ' the riot of cherry red geraniums growing hither and thither in the gravelly ditches... ' ah the minutiae. Oh so eloquent!

Rob, what an exciting time you and Wayne had at Le Mans. It must have been a huge adrenaline rush for both of you. Did Juliette and Bronte catch up with their gorgeous little Frenchman, Virgille, this time round? They would be old-hands around the pits now, probably telling all the newcomers where everything is. Good luck in your next race Rob. Can't wait to hear about it.

Great to read about your travels once again Sherri. Brendan has tag-teamed me and he is doing a wonderful job looking after the girls. They are just fine and will be up here in Mooloolaba on Saturday for their birthday. It sounds like everything is going very well and you and Rob are having a great time. Enjoy!

Hi My Darlings,
From one who spent the best time of her life with you in the latter part of your French experience, I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU. Good beginnings, great endings, and lots of rich experiences in between - perhaps that is what life is about.
My rich bit with you in Annecy and in Ireland will stay with me forever (and be part of who I am from now on). I can't tell which of my many experiences gave me the most joy. How do I begin to name them - the long picnics by the lake, the walks in the Alps and back to Veyrier from Annecy, meeting new friends and saying goodbye to dear ones, French feasting, shopping in markets and haute couture on the cheap, historical and hysterical jaunts in old places, running off a mountain peak attached to a French boy oolala, exercising in the tree tops on ropes, getting giddy driving round and round and round the many roundabouts on the French roads, singing as we prepared our feasts, telling stories to the dearest little girls in the world, oh the list goes on.
Funny - I thought I would be sad to come home - but I'm not. Not with Buddy, and Sarah and Lilly there to greet me, and th knowlekge taht you will be home soon. We will all be there to greet you and hopefully I can give back at least some of the love and care you showed me.
See you soon, Di
