Happy Valentines Day! I'm torn between telling you you're absolutely nuts for trying ducks brains and saying wow well done Shell! lol The little Chinese children look so cute! What are you teaching them at the moment? What's this summer palace you went to see? And have you started planning for the New Year yet? I had a really really bizaare day yesterday. One of my old best friends Liz from Romilly added me on Facebook (like another MySpace type thing) and although she hasn't replied to me yet, I've found another six or seven people from Romilly through her who I have talked to her. It's absolutely crazy how much some of them seem to have changed! Great to catch up though. How are you doing with learning Mandarin now? Hope you're still enjoying your adventures loads! xXxXx |

Hi there Shelly,
Just me again, saying hello. Nic arrived safely in Worksop on Saturday and is staying in the big house next to the hospital with a junior doctor called Carl as a housemate. Not far to crawl to work each morning but no internet access so she says it might be the weekend before she's able to get in touch! Our house is strangely empty without either of you and Amber keeps sitting at the window looking out and waiting. I keep telling her she's got a long wait but she still sits there.............
Dad and I bit the bullet and joined the gym yesterday. We were impressed with the new equipment - things have certainly moved on since the last time we went! Well I'm sorry to say that's all the news I have (not that you can really call it news but I thought I'd write anyway)and it's almost my bedtime. That means it's your morning so Happy Valentine's Day - we love you lots and lots and lots... Mum and Dadxxx |

Hello Shelly!!! Sorry its taken us so long to leave a message but we promise 2 write more often. Its good 2 hear u r enjoyin your chinese adventures. You are braver than us trying lots of the local foods. We have enjoyed looking at all the photos and look forward to seeing more. Glad your teaching went well. Can't believe you've been in China for 2 weeks already. Bet the celebrations for new year will be amazing. We are doing chinese new year in school next week but don't think our celebrations will be like yours! Really disappointed yesterday when we had very little snow - not even enough to build a snowman and we still had to go to work.We are enjoying following your travels and look forward to more news from China. thought id stop by as i havnt since my train thing lol so hows china? lol and wow star fish on a stick ...nice lol i have cum to the conclution there is sum strange food over there lol but hey lol and cool glad 2 hear the teaching is fun :) i wud be so nervous if i was in your position. It was lovely speaking to you today and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you and Amy can persuade the powers that be to send you to the same area of China to do your teaching. Hi Shelly. It makes me cited when ur on the telphone cos ur in China bt on the phone. Magic. I have now officially done my civil duty as a juror n some naughty ppl have been disciplined. (in theory anyway) It is silly how they just lie so much. This one guy put on such an angelic act that u knew there was no way he was innocent. Silly criminals! Took some pitchers of esprit in the snow after some bribery with special K. Will send u some they are gd. I am glad that the children are friendly n that teaching is fun. Mayb u should tell the lady who is teaching u chinese to get some puppets. That would b citing. Well done on eating brave things. hey midge!!! Pig bread look amazin! but not as gd as hedgehog bread u make in yr8. im also fasinated with starfish on a stick im suprised it looks alot like a big lolly! but im guessing it didnt give u compliments when u were eating it like in Aquamarine (the best film ever :S ). hey at least u've found the basics, pizza, chocolate, cheap shoppin and of course beer!now theres not much gossip actually. ooo wait i get to go see my house on tuesday and then i can start plannin what to do with it! i think a bright orange door is in order, u know discreet. nothing on the romatic front either it think u'll have to buy me a wife. ooo u'll fing this amusing too my sociology lecturer is called Mr Popadous Pannyder (aka Mike Panny) i think thats how u spell it.i did have a chinese the other day and thought o u coz i was trying to think of cinese swear words to say when my the woman was rude to me. have a wkd time hun.
