Hi Laurie, I'm so sorry to hear about the wheelchair. I know what a drag that is for all of you. Overall though it sounds like things are going good. I'm glad your sister is now there and that you have all have had some time to do some sightseeing. Curt and I are now in Sunny San Diego for 2 weeks. He's working and playing. I'm just playing. Yea! I'm still praying for great continued success with everything for you. I'll write again tomorrow. Sandra

Steve was kind enough to forward your emai link. this has been quite an adventure. Ian is amazing ....always handles things so well. Be nice if there was a less painful way to get the stem cells.Sounds like you have met some great people...inspiring...too bad it is not available to everyone who could benefit...hopefully it will be one day. I'm glad you have had the extra set of hands. I'm sure Austin has been a blessing to you both. Glad you have had some time to have a little fun and see the country also. Glad you are having a productive time but will be glad to see your smiling faces. I haven't done much except study for my test. haven't hardly been out of the house. Finally had it Monday and Tuesday and got recertified, so done until 2013..hopefully will not need it by then. P.S. have you had any good coffee?? bet you are enjoying the chance to practice your spanish...love you both and see you in a few days. Barb, Sam, Sandy, Becky

Hi Laurie, No, I don't mind at all you writing about Ryan and what you have said is accurate. I am enjoying very much that I can picture everything that you're writing about. You are tougher than me, I actually could not watch at all when the injectionws were given. I'm sure I would have passed out! I hope you all have a wonderful time at the ocean. I wish we could've gone. Oh well, take pictures. I'm heading to the FUSE meeting. Looking forward to your next entry, Sandra

I was wondering why I had not heard anything, and we finally figured out it was all going to Bren's email, and he was out of town! So glad to finally log in and catch up! We have been thinking so much of all of you! Last evening we sat out on the back porch and Bren read all the entries to all of us, Nick, Cal, Trip, and me. Great writing by all of you. We had some laughter and some tears. We absolutely hate that you have to go thru this Ian, but so glad you have the opportunity! You are one tough guy! We love you all...keep the news coming! We love you!!!! Candace

It's an amazingly small world with so many challenges. What a story about the connection with Neil and challenges that has overcome. Just remarkable!

Hi Laurie, You sound like you are in much better spirits today. I wrote you yesterday on your own email. So check it out. I'm so glad Ian is responding well to the treatments. I agree that the doctors were wonderful. They seemed to be very compasionate. Tell Ian that we're all thinking of him and know how difficult this is. However, it is so worth it. I'm thrilled that you're making some relationships with people there. It's a nice change from your plane experience. Talk to you tomorrow, Sandra

I am not a particularly religios women, but I have you all in my prayers.. I also am jus lvong the journal. It,s like a brillant story and I can't wait to hear how it turns out. Thank you for including us all in this voyage. I love you ian and my tears fall down my face because I am so happy that you get to have this excperience. I have the up most belief. I have also been doing much more research. And am saddened that doctors tie off those umbilical cords beforebefore they are done pulsating. itls one thing if they are going to be used. its quite another if they just get thrown away..

Hi Laurie, So glad you wrote. What happened to the chair. AHHH!!! My biggest fear! I'm anxious to hear how the injections go. I liked looking at your pictures. I've been to the Badlands, but would love to go to Yellowstone. Not much is happening except VERY HOT WEATHER. Debbie and I rode to Goddard and back this morning. It was fun, but pretty much zapped me for the day. Air conditioning is the best thing ever invented! Try to write again soon, Sandra
