I am really enjoying reading your travel log. As a frequent visitor to The Philippines I can relate well to your experiences there.
You really seem to embrace the idea of travelling. Just turning up somewhere and not knowing too much about it ... letting the experience happen naturally ... that is what travelling is all about. |

The pictures are so beautiful! I can see why you hang out on Mt. Kintamani; its got some great views. It reminds Gary of his experience in Peru.
I'm glad you found some more lower priced "adaptable designer" jewelry in Tagalalang. It sounds like you were having a lot of fun shopping and eating all that great food until you were stopped by the road block. Amazing how cheap it is for a police stop!
We're doing great in Cripple Creek. Targhee is still with us but we're planning to tell him today that he needs to "move on" by next Sunday. Things have gotten a little too sweet for him here. Still busy with church, Tai Chi, Wholeness classes and feeding the deer:) They all say "Hi" to you.
Gary put a new exhaust system on the Montero. It sounds like a monster driving up the hill. He's trying to quiet it down a bit.

I have been reading your journals and looking at pics and its just wonderful work all around. I believe you to be extremely talented and I Am so happy for you. I wish I knew you closer today and could get the opportunity to spend time with you. I also love your jewelry I want to stock up. hihihi. Maybe a piece at the time.

Wow! Sounds like things are going absolutely wonderful from the get-go! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with Kimmy and you were able to breeze through customs, thanks to 3 bottles of wine:)
I would be jealous if Gary and I were still in Orange County. But...now that we're in Cripple Creek, I find life similar to what you are experiencing now. Peace, calm, beauty, "good food" (cheap food), and nice massages. Oh, I guess our massages aren't exactly as cheap as yours. You have one up on me!!! |

Hi. Hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm going travelling in 10 weeks with my boyfriend and we'll be visiting Bali for 30 days. See my blog "jemandtaz" on traveljournals. I was wondering what it was like budgeting over there. We were thinking we'd be spending around £100 a week on hotels (200 USD) between us and around £60 a week (120 USD) on food and busses etc. Would you say this was reasonable? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give us, Jemma and Taz. PS - you're blog's really cool, and really inspiring!! |

We are just ahead of you in number of hits on traveljournals.net and are coming through Colorado on the way to Yellowstone. Stopping in Co Spgs to pick up friends who were traveling with us in Africa this time last year. We should get together and have a brew and talk travel?!
