Alex, my love! It is wonderful catching up on your life in Japan! I can't believe that you are preparing yourself for cherry blossoms; I am preparing myself for a ski-doo race at the end of April. :) What different worlds we are inhabiting these days! I love the journals - keep them coming! Hugs and kisses, Em |

I am having the best time visiting Japan through your eyes. It's wonderful to see not only the sights, but all those little things that I would never see otherwise. Loved the boot in the second-hand store. Do you think they have it in another color? Much, much love from California, Connie and family |

Hello from Tweed. I have had a great time looking through the latest pics. What an incredibly beautiful place! Glad you are getting to see so many places there. What religion are all the shrines? Love to you both, Mum/Penny XO XO

Hello Alexandra and Zac! You look fabulous in the kimono and I can't wait to see Tokyo. Ali and I are planning our wardrobe already!! Don't burn your footsies on the hot carpet. Love the pictures, take care of yourselves, stay warm!! |

Hi Alex and Zac! I have been thinking about you two, and I always love to get a letter! Thanks so much -- I will reply to it better in a little while. For now, though, I had to come see the pictures of Alex in the Kimono -- incredibly beautiful. It really suits you, Alex. The story of the blue aerobic-atic men in flying tights and synchronized pec-flexes sounds like the best thing I've heard in a while. Your description was better than a picture, I think, because my imagination had great fun with it. Anyway, looks like a lot of glutenous dishes: always a treat. I'm referring to the food, now, that is. The men aren't so glutenous-looking, I'm sure. Off to buy mittens now -- it's biting cold today!! XO Julee |

Hey Alejandro,
I think your great. I loved the entry on the aerobics.I wish I could join you and rock out with limber little men. I miss you and your smarts. You would be so proud of my new smarts that I have found. You sound so happy living so far away. I hope you are and I can sympathise.
love you.
Ciao,
Caro |

Hello Alex,
I was wondering why people were referring to spam and obscene language and now I see why!
I was so pleased to hear that you and Zak had such a lovely Thanksgiving although it would have been a real Lost in Translation moment if you would have been stuck with cabbage and mayo. Congrats on the teaching job...soon we can compare notes on strategies. I always think of you when I peel a banana starting from the other side like a monkey does. I will do the Groove thing as soon as I have a spare moment.
Keep the pictures and messages coming -this is great!

Hi Alex and Zac,
It's so exciting to read about your adventures and see your amazing photos. Blaine keeps saying (over and over and over) that he wants to go to Japan. Maybe I'll have to send you a bunkmate at some point!
Glad the earthquakes weren't life threatening. Glad the chocolate is a good medicament. Actually, it always is...
Well, tis very late, my eyes very sleepy.
Byebye,
Julee |

I will try to keep it in English with no offensive language or spam! This is a great idea. I love checking in to see what has been happening. Glad the earth quakes are small. Love to you both, Mum/ Penny XO XO
PS I had to put Kingston as this site doesn't know Tweed or Belleville! |
