Hey Phil, glad to see your having a good time (though not too good I hope...) and some pretty cool pics so far - it sounds like you're really having to suffer for your art. Have a good'un and don't forget us poor suckers slumming it 9 to 5.

Hi Phil Amazing photos, am dead impressed. Thanks for the updates - it is really keeping me inspired for my South America adventures in 2004! Have a special, if different, Christmas. Oh - and Gordon mentioned something about filling your stockings this yuletide?

Like I said in My e-mail it is such a pick me up to read these wonderfully crafted updates, especially when is minus 8 outside and work is on your back, you know what I mean. I echo all on here; get the photos up mate! I want to see these places only you and an army of 'travellers' have been to. Idiots who will save a dollor by taking the pick up instead of the taxi. Anyway enjoy yourself and always let us know what you are doing!

Phil mate, when are we going to see some of the fantastic pictures I'm sure you're taking on that special film I so carefully 'de-boxed' for you. I still can't believe you've buggered off for two years leaving me with only Jimmy for matey company. I might have to persuade Soph to get up the duff so you have to come back early! Cheers geeze, have fun.

I can't believe you've omitted to go into detail about the full moon party by claiming amnesia rather than deep shame. This journal thing is a great idea though, please post a picture of yourself in a month or so when you've not had a proper haircut and look silly - it shall cheer up my dreary working days. Oh, and stop speaking to girls - if you must, when you write about them make sure you mention that they are ugly. Very envious of you (it is cold here and has rained solidly for 48 hours) and may have to sell everything I own on ebay to come and see you at Christmas.

Codster, great idea to use this service. Envious of your current adventures, and look forward to catching up with you when you reach sunny Perth. Might one respectfully suggest you leave it until the yob lager louts return to England post Rugby World Cup?!? We anticipate most English tourists will leave our pubs by July 2017! They have been a lot of fun, and a heap have used Perth as a home base - and why wouldn't you! Stay safe, and we will have a warm bed, hot shower and a great meal waiting for you. LB
