As my life now seems to have become more of the 'travel from home to work while worrying about the mortgage' style, rather that 'travelling from country to country worrying about whether I'll get that entry visa...', my use of this site has become less and less in the last couple of years.
In an effort to remind myself that I too once led a nomadic existence (and as I want finally to move up 3rd place in the 'Most visited traveller' list), I've been searching the inboxes of friends and relatives for any old emails sent from distant places and will be re-posting them here.
All spelling & grammar mistakes have been left as they were - usually caused by limited time on a knackered old PC with a dodgy internet connection!
