I'm from Slovakia, currently a student at the University of Brighton, East Sussex, UK. As you may have guessed already, my name is Peter, so WHY the user name PAKOpeter? Simple: PAKO means GOOF in Slovak :) and I like to goof off a lot.
Anyhow, I have travelled all around Europe (well, almost), been to Thailand, USA (Arkansas ;)), UK (which I can't quite count as Europe, it really is a continent of its own), and at this travellers' site I will strive to inform everyone about my home country (Slovakia. NOT Slovenia).
I am upset and disappointed by the way Americans present Slovakia to the world in their movies... Showing the capital city Bratislava as a dirty gipsy ghetto made me feel bad ("The Eurotrip" It was a great movie nonetheless :)), also not to forget the infamous "Hostel" - come on!.
I will try my best at presenting my beloved little country in the heart of Europe to you. Hope you enjoy the pics as well.
