Thank you for posting these beautiful photos! I have been seriously considering a move to NZ and am 99% convinced that this is probably the best place to raise my children. Dunno if you are still there, but it sure looks like you two were having the time of your life. Thank you for sharing!! Best wishes, Brogan Aldrich

Feeling quite sad that your trip is coming to an end soon. I will miss your updates, but look forward to seeing you. You've really wet my whistle with your journals. They've made me want to revisit the places I've been ( especially the incredible Grand Canyon and Yosemite) and visit the many I haven't. Bet Caroline's changed her impression of USA a bit? Hope you enjoy Canada too. Rog needs to beat Paul's record of how many Mooses (meese?) can a person have their photo taken with, cardboard, stuffed or otherwise- believe me, there are many.Jill G x

Hi to you both. Just catching up on where you are at present to find you yet again with a glass of wine in your hands! Yosemite is certainly a fantastic place and your photos brought back happy memories of our visit. Thank you for the postcard from the Grand Canyon. I must admit it is the most amazing place I have ever been to and it sounds like you both agree. Enjoy every minute of your last few weeks and take care. Love the Wallers

Just a quick message Rog - Leeds lost in play offs. Happy days.

Apologies for the Grand Canyon advice Rog - still, better to have lowered expectations, eh? I went to Orient for the last game as it was Boothy's last ever game in a Town shirt (barring a desperate crisis bext year) and it was fantastic! A bit like the final game of the season at Brentford under Warnock (1st year) - Town fans were amazing and day enhanced by Orient fans giving AB a standing ovation as he was subbed late on, having ineviatbly scored. It was a pretty dire 1-1 draw but the football was secondary. Getting a good feeling about next season. Still haven't booked NYC hotel - I'll probably do it this week. Didn't think you'd like Vegas - but you'll love the drive through Death valley and out the other side to the Sierra Nevada.

Hi Caroline & Roger Looks like you are still having a great time. We are still continuing to follow your fantastic travels, the photos say it all. The weather here has improved and I have even sat out this afternoon. Hope you had a great birthday Caroline, we will go out for tea when you get back to celebrate. Take care and happy travels. Bit of an update for you Rog. Town, unburdened by any thoughts of actually getting anywhere this season have started winning. A 3-2 win at Walsall (coming from 2-0 down) was the 5th win in 6 games. If we win all our games by about 8 0 and hope that those above us lose theirs by about 2 or 3 we could have got to the play offs but for the fact that 2 of them play each other making it mathemetaically impossible now! Now on to Fartown. By yesterday they were second in Super League having gone on a 6 match winning run and, for once, the fat lads were generating some interest from the usually apathetic Huddersfield public. I even thought about going down but opted to watch it on Sky at the Dusty Miller with a ginger fella. In an uncanny impression of Town whenever they get a decent crowd, Fartown roled over and got murdered by Leeds and no doubt they'll attract 2,000 to watch them lose to Salford City Reds or some other glamorous outfit next time out. Bye for now - see you in New York (I was somewhat taken aback that Caroline dosen't like tall buildings - is she going to spend all of her time in New Jersey then?)

About time you updated - slacker! Just back from a typical Friday night in the Bull - Fartown have hammered Wigan to go 3rd in Super League. Town are still trying to turn draws in to wins but its all too late. We haven't booked NYC hotel yet as we think things will keep getting cheaper. Yankees tickets are a tad expensive - I'll wait until we get a hotel and a concierge see you in June Martin

Hi Roger and Caroline, Well all that planning is certainly paying off. I can't believe you're packing so much in and those latest NZ photos are amazing. I never knew there were quite so many incredible geological features there. A bit worried though- you both look far too settled in there- I'm scared you might not fancy coming back. Thanks for the birthday card. I never expected one so it was especially nice to get it. We had a great week ski-ing in the 3 valleys- loads of snow and sunshine.Back to normal already though and looking forward to the summer.xxx
