Family left Shepetovka, Ukraine, in late 1880s and headed for Chicago. Your pics are all the more motivation to go back to visit. Things are now very different there, I suppose, devoid of the Jewish populations that once inhabited the town. Would be intersting to visit still. |

Hello - Your pictures warmed my heart for my beloved ancestors are from the Village Milatyn, previously in Poland, now Ukraine. Thank you for sharing your moments ... I agree with you ... I've been to Poland many times and walking the streets, towns and rustic villages and fields filled with wildflowers and the crisp fresh air brings us ever so close to those who lived before us. my grandfathers parents lived around dobromil or lesko in poland how would u coorespond with someone in that are? also how would i contact slav u refer to? thanks for any help u might have |

Hello! I just found your pictures and thought I'd leave you a message that some of them were really beautiful. I have been to Lutsk (Luck) for a couple of days but haven't seen too much of it though. I was very interested to read your journal and see your photos. My ancestors came from just over the Polish border from your's. We were there in 2005 and it was very exciting. |
