Ah! Sounds like you are having so much fun. I am in Christchurch and met lots of cool people and most exciting of all, we got tickets to see the All Blacks play South Africa in the rugby on Saturday. Am hysterical with the excitement. NZ is very very cold, but lotsa fun. STAY SAFE guys, love u

You're all wrong. Zoltar is simply a Western corruption of the well known Eastern European phrase Rat Lost; meaning literally "My rat is lost" only backwards. The medieval naturalist Ymalleb Divad is believed to have coined the phrase, so to speak, when he encountered a rat fighting contest on the outskirts of medieval Praha whilst on one of his MBC (medieval broadcasting corporation) sponsored journeys. Essentially, one of the competitors was pacifist by nature and made its escape by running backwards through the throng and disappearing arse first down a drain. Hence - Zoltar. You really needed to be there though.

No, I think it was a Zoltar machine in "Big". Zoltar was also the name of the evil guy in Battle of the Planets.

Hi Mel & Paul.......bet you're really missing us! Zoltan was the fairground attraction in the Tom Hanks movie Big that made him swap bodies with a small boy! By the way, have booked my Peru trip now...........arrive in Lima on 04 October! Keep the journals coming! Sharon xx

hiya tow globetrotters :-)deadly stuff happenin over there! Love the sunny discriptions and all the "madness" you run into over there, sounds fab!! Nothing big happenin here, all progresing well. Went to oxegen (formal wittness) last weekend, was absolutely deadly and we rocked for two days with an totally enthusiastic crowed that sang along with nearly every song that the 80 Bands played - superb atmoshere, really nice! Got a bit of a sniffes since that but we wont let it bother us.... Just keep goin:-) Keep those jouneys coming, have a great time and dont let the jungle bugs bite ya when ur sleeping in the hamoks :-) All the best C&R
