As I read Poinsettas story, and as I personally work more with people from other countries related to the Shambhala Institute, It is striking how much diversity and creativity there is in the world towards basic human goodness being expressed, and how fundamentally similar everywhere is 'what really matters' like real listening conversations and people who seek to listen deeply and respond as animators. A great blessing this trip. And a lovely gift to us all to get to share your experience, and to learn from your experiences and reflections through your travel log. Thank you all, Mike

How wonderful. Amazing with Baboons and all of South Africa. Makes me happy just to imagine you all there and together. May never be a time when you ALL are together for a vacation, so precious a time. Mike, your writing for NPR was great. You really can write. As Judith Snow says,"It is unfair to the world to withhold a gift." Maybe this open space of sabbatical will reveal about the writing 'what door you are asked to open?' Hugs to all, Mike

To you all--thanks for sharing your pix and stories!! . . . and your perspective on TIME--ain't it wonderful to have all the time in the world and be in some of the most fabulous places in the world. All that time allows for "creative wandering" out from the various plazas you'll encounter--so many times it's on those narrow, out-of-the-way streets where the "real" world happens!! Enjoy!!

WOW! I am so jealous...in all the right ways! I love the plaza, and the palace, and the prado, and...we'll I could go on and on! But, I am just so happy to read your stories and live vicariously through them. By the way, if you are still hanging out in Madrid, you should go have dinner at Botin (Cuchilleros 17, near Plaza Mayor). It is a cool restaurant and is considered the oldest restaurant in the world! I had the rabit there...it was to die for, but ended up being a hare-y experience (ha). But, don't get the turtle, that takes forever to get out to your table (double ha). If you go there, ask to sit in the cellar! Goya supposedly worked there before becoming a painter. I can't wait to read more from you guys! Peace and Love, Marc
