Hello young Ashman,
you seem to have had, and still having, a wonderful time. Have a good Christmas and New Year - the Rhydspence will not be the same without you on the 28th but we will drink a toast to your good health and to your return to the freezing conditions of Villa Park in January |

Now then Mike. I am soon starting a petition, we need a book written by you, about your travels, illnesses, triumphs, failures and the hat (hey, you can even write a chapter about the toughest part of your year away...writing a book). Glad you are heading to Oz, have a good one mate!! |

I agree with Kieran, you should really write a book. All the way through your trip, you have let us all experience your travels through your amazing writing skills. Thanks!! Looking forward to you getting to Oz and seeing what you have to write about your travels in 'the land downunder'!!You are the next Bill Bryson. See you soon, Beth |

I accidentally clicked on your website. For some reason, I was looking for the spelling of Thank you in German and came to your website! Got lost in awe from your beautiful, spectacular pictures of your travels in Southeast Asia! The cultures are different there! Amazingly breathtaking pictures in Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand! I am not a member of traveljournals.net but I am with virtualtourist.com. Enjoy all your trips and stay healthy all the time! Take care and I will see all your pictures and subscribe to your travels! Travel when you are young! It's an experience you carry all the time to share with your children, grandchildren...It's a wonderful world. We just have to protect it and each other! |

Hey Mike! Well, I am glad we have started to hear updates again from you. Illness sounded bloody awful mate but with your flair for creative writing you made it quite an entertaining tale (sorry!). Good luck with the rest of your travels matey and keep us up to date when runaway buses and tropical diseases permit. And I am not joking, you need to write a book mate of your journey, could be bloody funny! Cheers

What a life!!!I envy your freedom. I was born in Malaysia, worked in Singapore, travelled to Australia, New Zealand and met my husband in Rotorua.Travelled with him to Nepal, Bali,Paris,England until I got pregnant with our 1st child that we moved to live in England. We have a boy and a girl.I suffer every now and then with serious travel bugs. I found a lot of comfort Looking at your pictures from various places and reading your journal quench my thirst for backpacking to some extend. Just like to say you have a tremendous life, treasure it.I hope my next life will be equally fulfilling and interesting as yours. All the best. |
