Before I went to Poland I've seen your web-site and promesto.com in gallery "Landscape" - amazing photos by Olaf Maschke from table rock mountains in Poland/Czech I could't believe !!! That's why I went there in august 2007 about 100km from Wroclaw - Table Rock Mountain(Gory Stolowe)It is situated in the middle Sudeten, in Klodzko region on the Polish-Czech border. The "Stolowe" Mountains are the Polish part of great sandstone layer situated between the Karkonosze, the Bystrzyckie and the Orlickie Mountains. The Czech part of it bears the name of Broumovska Vrchovina and "seeing is believing" Some of movie parts "Chronicles of Narnia" made there - amazing mountains boths sites of Poland and Czech and of course delicious food/beer/vodka Polish names of mountains : Gory Stolowe/Gory Sowie/Skalne Miasto/

I am the granddaughter of Stanislaw Mierzejewski of Mierzejewo, Poland. Your pictures are wonderful. I have never been to Poland. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of what I may never visit. PS Your Malina looks like she could be my cousin.

Now I'm really getting excited since you're heading for Venice. Don't miss Campo San Stefano, my favorite piazza with very few tourists (it's opposite the Accademia Bridge on the San Marco side). I remember what a terrific site the Guggenheim is too (cross the Accademia Bridge and follow the signs).
