I bet your glad to be home, back in Canada let alone. I don't know if I could handle being offshore for so long. Well I hate to leave this message so short, but you know me when it comes to keeping in touch with a computer. I'll give you a call soon.

Time is flying by. Got a big box for you in the mail today. That should lighten your load a bit. Dad and I are going to the rodeo tomorrow and then meeting George and Glenda for the chucks and the show. Saturday we're going to Buckley's, west of Cochrane, for the Beefbooster BBQ. We'll take the fifth wheel and stay over night. Had a scare with the cows at DP. Last Sunday we went to check them. There were quiet a few on the road and as it turns out they were the smart ones cause there wasn't any water. The rest were very dehydrated but we got the water going and when we went on Tuesday night they were all looking pretty good again. Counting down the days now, 7 to go. Mom |

Hi Lex,
Just wanted to let you know how much I'm missing you at Stampede right now. Just not the same when we're not comparing our crazy stories of the previous nights. Can't wait to see you when you get home. Let me know when you got your ticket changed for.

Hi Lex, Sounds like your last few weeks are very busy. Calgary Stampede started yesterday. We watched the parade on TV and then went in to the Steer Classic and stayed for the Chucks. Ray Mitsuing lost a lead horse on the back side of the track so didn't complete the race. It was a beautiful warm night and today is going to be 31C! Doug and Lois' 25th Anniversary party is today. They are having a caterer in so I'm looking forward to that. Tomorrow is the ;'First Rodeo' put on by First Energy, an oil and gas finance company like Tristone and Longbow. They also have the 'First Rowdy' this next week that we will be going to as well. No BDP this tho'. It has been so hot and humid the last week or so. Had a shower Thursday but it wasn't measureable. Dad is hoping for enough rain to wash the dust off our hay in F3. Thorlaksons silaged the land north of us and totally dusted it out. Cann't wait to get away from this. A couple of weeks ago we were at DP and visited with Don Beddoes. There are some heifers on his grass and guess who owns them, yep, Thorlaksons. They're some sticky. We have hired DBC to construct our new lane, BIG money, and have also signed a contract with Upper Hut to build the house. Randy Bell is working on our house design so I guess we're under way. A bit like a train heading downhill without any brakes. Once it starts it cann't be stopped. We'll hang on for the ride. I'm counting down the days til you're home. Love Mom |

Hey Lex,
Happy Canada Day! Sounds like you are having a blast...your descriptions of the reef are amazing...maybe one day I'll get to see it but your details are great! It's beautiful here today! Sun is shining but we had some hail last night, it was INSANE! My truck was covered, looked like snow along with the lawn. My poor plants were beat up but this morning they seen to be perking up. I am on the countdown for me going home...21 days... I can't wait! My mom will be here in 11. I will hopefully get to see you before I head home, if not it will be the August long weekend we get back. Keep the weekend of Aug 13 & 14 open...my bday is the 10th which is Thursday so we have to celebrate on the weekend...25 years old....oh man....Well take care, can't wait to see you and keep the updates coming!! Luv Ya Erin |

Hello! Miss you lots. Gearing up for Airdrie Rodeo and the Parade. I'll actually be able to watch it this year as I have the day off. It will be quite humourous for me though when some certain someones dressed in Red march by though eh? Especially if it is really hot! |

Oh yes, I'm enjoying your pictures so try to keep sending them. Since Tuesday night we've had 2.5" of rain. It is really wet now but the hay will just pop now. We finally got the fertilizer on. Saw Grandpa Steve yesterday and he is doing just fine. Today I put the boarder on a quilt I started in April. Now I need to get the sewing machine fixed so that I can use the 'running foot'. There was too much tension so I used Tumbleweed's machine but ran out of time in the class. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to get the class quilt finished at the shop. You're new hostel looks really nice. Keep in touch. Mom |

Hey Lex,
Sounds like your Whitsundays trip was just like mine! The only time we saw the sun was when we were heading back to the mainland! By the way was the rum the rum and cola from a can? That stuff is particularly dangerous!!! |

Hey Lex, I'm loving all your travel updates! I went down to U of L for convocation last week. It was nice to be back in Lethbridge for a couple days, I do miss that place sometimes. I picked you up a Management class of 2006 composite(all the grad photos of the people who graduated this year) since I knew you probably wouldn't have a chance to buy one. Oh, and I ran into Andy, that was slightly awkward. Anyway, hope yout trip continues to be fun! |

Thanks for the Stampede clock Lex! It's just not going to be the same without you this year. Keep the updates coming, can't wait to hear about the station. I hope you get to ride a helicopter to chase cattle!!! |

Aren't you the seasoned traveller! Sounds like you're having the trip you wanted. This is 4-H on Parade weekend. Steph helped the Flying Hooves setup last night and is going back down tonight. Dad and I will go Saturday to watch some horse show especially Caitlin and them to the steer show. They're showing in Jr, Inter, and Sr classes this year and then the 1st and 2nds from each will come back for the final class. Kind of different eh! Are you missing the 'ehs'? I'm still gardening constantly and the result is that the yard is gorgeous, if I don't say so myself. It's hard to keep working in it to make it perfect for someone else. This summer though it will be perfect for us. Dad and I walked through the cows last night to check one of the G33 twins. He had had a runny eye but is now fine. Paddy was very curious about Cocoa and me, she wanted to lick my hand. but is now a normal wild calf. Norman's tail is growing back beautifully with the big brute in isolation so I'll keep him there until Joanne can take him. Bye for now, Mom |
