Wow, sounds like you had an amazing time! Our daughter is over in Moshi right now with Teen Mission International. Originally she was headed to Uganda but it was cancelled at the last minute because of the ebola outbreak, so when she said she was now going to Moshi, Tanzania we had no idea of where that was. Thank you for photos and the journals it has helped us to visualise where she is and what she will be seeing.

I lived in Moshi for a year in 1970/71. I attended the International School of Moshi. We lived on the KCMC campus. My dad worked at KCMC.

We went to NC to see Sydney. Beautiful!! Wait till you see her. Couldn't organize the kids but seems like you had a fun day. Why are there no fields or large grass spaces? I imagine there would be plenty of open areas. Well, you'll need to explaine that. Take care-won't be long now till you're home. Enjoy your climb - you'll have plenty of stories to tell. Love Mom

Hi Kim! Took me a while to get on your site, really interesting. You are one gutsy girl, and I envy you the opportunity you have to do what you are doing. Treasure it. Glad to hear you are being cautious. Love you. Will access your site more often. After reading "The Tanzanian Way" is it worthwhile to send you anything? If so, what would you like? Love, Aunt Irene

Hey, Katie! Your stories about travel sure brought back some memories. In Zambia, it was "Muzungu! Muzungu!" all the time. Do vendors circle the buses selling cold drinks and snacks? How is your Swahili coming along? Hope we can get together and trade stories when you get back.

Hey Sweets! (Been a while since I said that but I'd better one last time incase you get stomped by an elephant or eaten by a Giraffe). Have a great trip! Send me a post card, I've never got one from Tanzania before. Post your snail mail address once settled and I'll see if I can be a little better with with pen pal correspondence than email!
