Ladies, (You've been promoted.) What a ride. You have done a great job with these journals. You too Maggie. You have got to figure out how to print these and keep a hard copy. You're kids would be amazed. London sounds pretty cool. I still have my Notting Hill T-shirt that Allison brought home to me when she went. I still wear it alot. (And my U of Penn T-shirt). The museums (John Soane) sounds interesting. The statues have always facinated me(besides the crown jewels).... Thank goodness you didn't strip, don't forget they have cameras every ten feet. I could see it now, one of those funky Tabloids with you and Maggie on the cover in your Bday suits... Great stuff from you two, we loved every minute of it. Of course, now I feel Betsy getting a bit anxious, probably won't be too long and we will be going again. Have a great trip home, Maggie hopefully we will talk to you before we leave for Florida. Kris, please take care of yourself, keep in touch, and good luck. Hope to see you soon. Robby Cubs still around 3 and 1/2 out. Hanging... |

hey there girls. Last few days!!! I hope the transit strike isn't putting too big a cramp on your touring the city. Dev called me yesterday, just to see if you were still able to get around. (Having lived in London, he probably can imagine how hard it would be being there without trains/buses to ride on) Maggie, I'm sending you an email too, read it. well, tickle the guards and make them smile, and have a great last few days! |

Girls, My goodness maggie. I bet we could get that published just because of length. And i swear i would not have asked if Hitler's bunker was underground. Berlin sounds incredible, but sad. Maybe that is why they party so hard. Of course you made the right choice with your 12 Euro's. You keep eating the ice cream in every country, might not get another chance to say that again. You can run it off when you get back, if necessary. If you two are bigger than a minute I would be surprised. Enjoy the rest of Berlin and London. Can't wait to read the next book. ha!!! ps Cubs still hanging. 3 or 4 out. Robby |

Well I'll be darned! I couldn't believe that it had been 20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall so of course I had to check. Allison's 3rd birthday (November 9, 1989) was the start date. Thank you Maggie for that piece of history information. Also I'm proud of you girls for choosing the concentration camp tour instead of the pub crawl. Not for sure I would have made that choice :) And how cool is it that Kristine's cousins were in Berlin and you got to visit with them. Please continue to be safe & live it up the last few days. You probably won't go again until our mother-daughter trip :) Love you both, P.S. These anti-spam questions are keeping me on my toes! |

We did like Prague a lot. It was different from Vienna - more walkable and with smaller, winding streets, without the same glitzy palaces, but still beautiful. |

Girls, This the third time I've tried to leave a message, hope this works. Wasn't Austria great. Something about that country. I don't know what. I'd love to see Salsburg and Vienna. And of course Munich. I have a feeling that Betsy will have us back there soon. Did you like Prague? It was hard to tell. I'm sure it was interesting. Y'all be safe and enjoy your last week. Berlin and London, oh my!!! ps Cubs 3 1/2 out. Tied with Reds for third. Brewers in first followed by Cardinals. Robby |

All good things must come to an end but I'm sad that you only have 1 week left. Whose journals will I read now? Thank you both for keeping us informed & entertained. For the last three weeks I've dreamed of Europe and have so many questions for the both of you. Since Kris is not available for a happy hour with us for some time, Mags, it's up to you. Please continue to be safe and have a great time in Berlin & London. |

I think a mother daughter trip sounds wonderful! I think we would definitely provide comic relief for everyone we met. And with our Spanish and French skills, we could easily get around!
Robby, thanks for the Cubs updates, they need to step it up, it's June already! |

Now Robby is the one at our house pouting about wanting to be in Europe. I think it was your journal about the Sound of Music tour that left him green with envy :) However after reading Julie's guestbook message, I had a thought! How about another MOTHER-DAUGHTER trip? We'd have to wait until Kris returned from AFRICA, but wouldn't it be fun to plan a European trip? Anyone interested in France & Italy? Kris, you know me well - I would love the gardens & fountains, but getting my hair wet is still not acceptable. Continue to be safe. We're waiting by our computers for more journals. Love you both, BETSY |

Ladies, You guys are definitly doing it up. We knew you would love Munich. Great food, great beer, great fun. Austria has great food also. They love meat and taters as much as the Germans. It's probably the Bavarian influence. Salsburg sounds neat, but I'm really looking forward to hearing about Vienna. Stay safe, Robby ps. Cubbies still three out, but now in 4th, behind, Cardinals, Brewers, and Cincinatti. Geez!!! |

Well, it sure appears that your drinking arm muscles are getting a workout, along with your legs-Boy, am I jealous!!!! Sounds like everything is turning out to be an incredible experience-as it should be. Gonzalo says that you need to fraternize (I'm not quite sure what he means by this-we all know his theory of learning a language, do you remember, Maggie?!) with the Germans, so you can pick up some German. But, as long as you know the word for beer, it seems you'll be fine! |
