Jessica,
Wow, you made everything sound so interesting!
I really enjoyed the pictures of the manatees and the canopy tree walk. Your Christmas vacation was definitely more interesting than ours. Come see us when you have time.

Thanks Jessica for sharing your adventure with TEC-Y. I'm looking forward to reading your submission for the TEC-Y Times and the possibility of a presentation for the kids. |

I just looked through all the pics. They are amazing. I especially like the manatee pics! |

Your stories are so descriptive and interesting Jessica! You are making me get the travel bug! Those little golden frogs are so cute. Also very interesting the way they developed the canopy walk so that the cables don't cut into the tree. It was also neat to hear about CIDA and the funding for the canopy walk.
Be safe! Talk to you soon. |

Hi Jess! My home computer is away having its annual check-up, so I've been unable to read your blog until now that I'm back at the office. It's great to be able to read so many entries in a row. I'm enjoying your trip! My question: What do you do when there's a tarantula on the ceiling, as there was in one of your photos? |

Merry Christmas Jessica!!!
I will read more and look at more pictures once I have escaped the family.
Take care,

Thanks for the great descriptions! Since you traveled with the director, did you learn what role the American CDC plays in Guyana? Is it to monitor outbreaks that could affect other countries, or is it to promote disease control and good health for Guyana itself? |

Hey Jessica,
Sounds like you're working already! What an adventure though, things most people would never think about before departing on their Christmas road trips (winches, ropes etc).
How is Christmas celebrated in Guyana? Will the Peace Corps volunteers do anything special with the community?
Trent and I send our best to you and you family for holidays. |
