I am very jealous of the opportunities you have had to travel all over the world... very impressive!!! I am a big fan of being open-minded and learning about new cultures especially when they have such a rich history... unfortunateLy i am not asbLessed as you... I wish you would take me along with you, I don't know, I guess just to give someone else the opportunity to see the sights you have seen and experience the things you are capable of experiencing... My parents are from guatemala and I've been told the Mayan Ruins are awesome... have you ever been there?...

So sorry for your bad experience on the Nazca Line flight but I had to write this just in case somebody was not going to fly based on your comments. My wife and I flew in May 2008 and found the figures very visible and discernible and we felt we were more than close enough to view them. If you're flying in a small plane, particularly in hot weather or you are going whale watching etc always take motion sickness pills. We've seen so many travellers needlessly sick because they didn't think they would be affected. The flight over the Nazca Plain remains near the top of our many great experiences during our four weeks in Peru and I encourage anybody going to Nazca to take the flight.

I can also recommend Utila! I have been living here for several months now. I would definitely recommend diving at the Bay Island College of Diving. I did my open water and advanced here! This school has the most expertise on the island and very motivated, patient instructors. Check them out at ww.dive-utila.com Diving in Utila is amazing. It's beautiful and cheap.

Great shots of Cuenca. I'll be going next month during Easter. I reckon the whole place will shut down, but I'll look for that handsome eco guide you took a picture of.
