Hola, mi amigoes / amigas!
This is quite simply, the only connection between you and me while I'm away. Yeah! Inca Queen Warrior on the road!!!
Concerned friends have been giving me useful advice on what to do when I'm there...so instead of bringing pepper spray, poor backpackers like me can opt to use a mini can of Baygon instead. Duo purpose against the annoying mosquitoes n insects in the Oriente too. And of course, being girls, MOISTURIZER is a MUST!!! Been instructed that Bodyshop's shea butter has to be slapped onto my body while im freezing in the Andes mountains. Brr...i can't even bear the thought of peeling away my warm clothes to do that at -10degrees. Slapslabslobberslatherbopbop...
To be on my own for the next 6 months is probably gonna be challenging - especially when I need to go to the bathroom(which is quite frequent as my close friends can testify). No one will be there to look after my bags(and cameras!) for me - it's quite simply a small thing that we always take for granted...having a friend with you on the road, sharing wierd n exotic food in every stop, putting on socks for you at nite when you're dead drunk, sharing a puff of opium, feeling seasick together, posing underwater for silly photographs... Good lord, im tearing already. BUT, having said that, Im all UP for it! There is simply no better time to do what Im gonna do now. No regrets in leaving the corporate world for this nomadic lifestyle. Im only having trouble deciding how many pairs of shoes to bring with me...hmmm.....5 pairs? Hahaha...just kiddin'. But close.
Stay tuned for the nomadic traveller's tales update coming up!!! Love you all!
Hasta luego! IncaQueen | | | |
