Hey Heidi, Glad to hear your travels are going so well. Lots of exciting stories. I'm on the beach too, though not in the same sense. Ari

I would have thought you would be totally into mediation through movement after your feet of fire (FOF) days! Thanks for keeping us all entertained once again, Heidi. Sorry I missed your birthday...hopefully you will come visit us in PDX and let me make it up to you!

"And I find myself in Bali"...double entendre? But, regardless of existential questions, the sunrise alone sounds worth the trip! Hopefully photos to be posted? Leering monkeys, glorious sunrises, and shiny happy people?

Hey Heidi, It's been awhile since we've talked, and I can see that you have been quite busy, such as climbing the Great Wall of China. I hope you are doing well, and drop me an email and let me know your plans, etc. Best, Alice

Great seeing you back in SF for a stint...

So...when are you sending us the five pound box of hand twisted rice starch candies in animal shapes? I would like them presented by a harajuku karaoke singer bearing a small flask of sake...singing "Small World", of course! Hmmm...no wonder there is no sitting room on the train if you are filling them up with your forgotten umbrellas! But it is rather poetic to think of you leaving a trail of parasols in your wake... :o)

hey chica! looks like you are not working too hard between sashaying thru the shrines and hanging out with harajuki harems. (are you actually working at all?) well, we all know my philosophy - play hard, sleep hard. i'll be on that side of the planet soon too. unfortunately, no hot corp crib or expense budget. hope the adventure continues to delight.

Yes, we've talked about this many times - you're in the wrong profession! As always, your stories are funny and insightful. You must make a trip to Hakone and experience the onsens...I'm sure you'll have something enlightening to say about sitting in bath water with buck naked Japanese women.

I adore the tales of your latest grand adventure! Now if you went to a Pride FC match while you're there...Todd & I would both be really jealous. :)

I usually detest blogs, but this is surprisingly readable and entertaining. I shall return to check on you. I'd like a full report on the wonders of the Tokyo Fish market if you can ever drag yourself out of bed/stay out all night to see it. I hear it is a place unique in the world. Forget consulting, you should be a professional travel journalist. I love the stories, but I am a little worried about your knack for making "Heidi blunders". Hopefully it doesn't run in the family...

Don't you know from your travels that you should never, under any circumstances, press the big red button! Sounds like another adventure.

It looks amazing! Plus I love your take on Japan--save this stuff--it's great! I ditto Beck. When are you there till and will the apt hold a couple of foreigners without a clue?
