i dont mean this rude in any way but when ppl look here for pictures of tena they want to see the actual city. pictures of the nature, architecture etc., not pictures of you with a black background and other ppl. We come onto the site to SEE the city, so we can be excited to go. i did enjoy seeing the ones that had background though. like you on the equator was great! and of the little kids playing and the beach. we needed more stuff like that. :) its just some constructive critism.

Dear Helen, So you´ve finally finished teaching then? Are you relieved? You´ve got some brilliant photos on this site- I wish I was technologically literate enough to do the same thing! Hope you have an amazing time travelling and working for your crazy river agency! Nads xxxxx

Heya Hells Bells! Tis I! Your fav. person in the whole world!!! Sorry about the delay re:no e-mails it is just that the bloody internet went down a month too early. Have had incredibly bad withdrawal symptoms! Soooooo....... nice to hear that you are doing well. Do send more info on what you are doing in class that I can use when I start teaching my sprouts! Oooo I can hardly wait! Nothing much is happening here on the other side of the pond. Have been working 7 day weeks (oh joy!) in Starbucks and Molton Brown. Incredibly tired! plus side is that I have good looking colleaugues. Score! Anyway I gotta go. Work tomorrow and I have to get up early. (Some shifts start at 6:30 in the frickin' morning!) ARGH!!! WOW!! Sounds so utterly amazing... I'm really impressed with everything you're doing. I'm so glad you're having fun too. Sorry you were sick! It's horrible when you are... I know! There's a bug going round Uni but fortunately I've managed to avoid it so far. Wish me luck! Either way I'm glad that you're feeling better and that Alex is a good nurse. :) Uni is hectic and busy as ever (not made easier by the fact that I now have a boyfriend...) (note how casually that was mentioned...) I'm loving my course and despite me having more hours than anyone else I've met here it's all good. When are you returning to us from far away lands? I'm off now, but I wish you continued good luck and many happy days. Annabel

Just ran across our info re travels in Tena. May I bother you with a question? I am a civil engineer--water/environmental--in St. Louis. I was just asked to do some work associated with the town's water supply problems in Puyo, Equador. My contact, a service club here in Saint Louis, didn't know details of what the problem was. Generally problems a town like that might have to do with an unreliable treatment plant, or bad wells, or leaking pipes. Do you happen to know of any other unusual problems in Puyo? I'm just fishing for information to see if I can help the guy.. Thanks for your help. Donovan Larson

Dearest Helen, It's great to hear how you're doing over there- it sounds as if you're making a real difference to the lives of the children you're teaching. Sorry that I've been unresponsive lately- first I was in Italy, then Paris, and THEN (to cap it all) the internet stopped working at home. The cheek of it! Also, when you have a moment, could you please e-mail me your address (for stalking purposes only, I assure you). As David Cameron would say: 'Keep it real'! Nads xxx

Dear Helen, Well, I'm not really in Paris, but if you give me the choice of CHOOSING my address from a list of countries...I'm not going to be choosing the UK am I?! Anyway, sounds like you're having a wonderful time, what with all the bugs and monkeys and other interesting items. El gato doesn't sound very impressive though- give me Federer any day! Nads xx
