Dear son, I almost envy you and all of your travel experiences. You are planting seeds for me to nuture and harvest in future traveling. What great stories from your India experiences. We spent the morning and part of the afternoon on the Lake Tim, Jillian and David water skied and tubed. I got in the water twice. I must admit that I am beginning to enjoy these boating times. We are having corn on the cob and swiss chard and green beans from the garden for dinner. The tomatoes are ripening at the speed of three per day so we are enjoying them also. The mountain is awesome as always and we are so blessed to live in this environment. Am anxious to read about you next adventures in Nepal. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. m0m

Hi son, Have enjoyed your remarks about your Indian travels. We're back at Swallow's Nest and we are looking forward to some easy work days. The tomatoes are begining to ripen and what a treat to go a pick fresh tomatoes for the dinner salad. I will be replanting lots of iris from BB up here as the deer seem to ignore this plant. I am happy thaat you had the opportunity to experience some of your Polish heritaage. Basia and Lukasz, thank you for sharing with my son the Polish daily life. It was very kind of you and your family to open your hearts and homes to him. I hope that when he returns I can get the particulars of how to contact you as I would like to correspond with you. Andy glad to hear that you are well again and we are looking forward to your next entry and phot posting. Love m0m

Andy, my parents will be in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore from Oct. 1-15. Most of their time will be spent on a train, but they will be in Bangkok for a few days and Singapore for a couple. You should meet up if you are there at the same time. I will send more details later.

Hey everyone - Just a quick message to let you know that I said my farewells to Europe and made it safely to Delhi, India. I met some guys from the Netherlands and am travelling with them on a 10-day car trip. We have seen many cool sights in Delhi, Agra, and now Jaipur, including the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, An amazing step-well, and much more...the Indian people are really cool and the cities and traffic and roads are a total mess....I will give a more detailed update and photos soon....Looks like the Indian food may have gotten us all sick, but we are feeling better and eating toast and drinking bottled water and gatorade...:) Take care and talk soon, Andy

Sounds like you had a fun time in Latvia. Is bathroom wall in Argonaut still wallpapered with the life-sized models? (Karlis and my handiwork...) So... if Latvia edges past Lithuania, that makes it #1 so far... am I wrong?

Hi, the colorado cousins have left and the house only has the three granddaughters as extras. We are trying to keep cool as the temps have been in the high 90's and beginning 100's. dad is getting his time out on the boat and loving it. The girls have also been swimming at the pool. We are somewhat low key with them as the two boys ages 2 and 4 were energy magnified. We had a lot of fun but I must admit we are getting older. I have adopted a stray kitten a orange tabby that must be less than a year old. Have named him nutmeg and he will be an outdoor cat. I believe that he was abandoned as he is friendly and allows us to pet him and pick him up. He will be making a trip to the vet next week for a full check -up. No tomatoes yet but many on the vines. My gladiolas are in blossom. we're eating swiss chard twice a week.Guess that's the current update.mom

Hey Andy! Have fun in Latvia. Don't fear the vodka, it the smoothest I've tasted (and cheap too!) Don't forget to try some Balsams either. Don't take any pamphlets or handouts (just say no thank you...) I hope Karlis can show you a good time. Do not pass up the Occupation Museum by the river. It's well done and worth the visit.
