In 33 minutes it will be Friday, May 16. As you may know, Fridays are only a day away from Sundays. This Sunday (the 18th) is the day...THE DAY...that this crazy semi-solo adventure begins! What I am about to say next may appear as trivial information, however these truths defy gender, space, and time. I must also admit that I am unrealistically proud of the following "achievement":
I have managed to pack EVERYTHING I need for this month-long journey into a Day Trip Camelback backpack, a large phanny pack, and a small purse...HA HA HA! SERIOUSLY. Approximately 80% of my luggage space consists of my compact 2-person backpacking tent, a sleeping bag, and a pair of rugged hiking boots. I have approximately 20 "Jesus-Glorifying-Self-Made" Stickers, 25 hand-drawn tracks, and the living, breathing Word of God in my lungs. I have 2 sets of clothes, which includes the goods I'm wearing. And the best part is this...my packs and my purse have double-zip zippers...so I can LOCK THEM UP. This is sure to be quite the trip ha ha! God bless and thank you for your prayers!
