Finally the trip has started, it has been a dream for many years and now finally the right time has come. After selling my flat back in December 2007 to finance the trip. Since then I have done some planning and preparation for this 8 month trip round the world but was still not fully prepared on the day I was leaving, a typical thing for me to leave things to the last minute. The most liberating thing though was leaving work, getting rid of all my Direct debits and many of my posessions it felt like such a nice and freeing thing to do.
