Hey, enjoyed your witchcraft post.
I've recently encountered more people who follow various non-traditional beliefs, and to me some are not so different from witchcraft. They work for those who believe in them even though they may not have a scientific basis (yet). At the extreme it can be serious when people forsake available and proven treatments for traditional methods.
Also got a chuckle out of the google ad that came up with your witchcraft post:

Damn it again, this is an addendum to my last email. Damn it, damn it, damn it
Eric,
Much like the Pickwick papers I wait with bated breath for your blogs and would gladly part with 2 schillings to read more. As an aside, I have always found Eddie like a heterosexual Oscar Wilde. As the second aside in this message when you see the aforementioned heterosexual Oscar Wilde please give him a c punch for me (that is the new hug in Canada now)
You do a really good job of providing insight what it is like to live and work in a county so different from Canada. I am jealous as the best I can do is say that the sky is blue.
Your blog on witchcraft was most enjoyable with a great amount of thought, depth and eloquent writing style with lovely textures of prose. Clearly a man of letters.
For a future blog can you lose the depth and write about topless African women as promised by my 1978 National Geographic?
I would think that after doing volunteer work in Africa for a year plus that you will be flush with cash so I fully expect to see you in Cuba and Nicaragua.
Onward,

I am really enjoying your postings and pics. Great new perspective. I'm wondering how this experience will change you over the long haul!
What is Cameroon white wine? I'd be interested to hear more about your work? What are the goals? How are you doing it? What do you do in the governance team?
Keep up the good work and the good postings! |

Wow! The witchcraft stories are incredible. It's Axel's 1st birthday today.
He's almost walking, and I've started him on the drums. |

Fantastic articles on Cameroon. I´m coming to Bamenda & Santa next week as a volunteer for an NGO and your updates have given me a view of what I´m going to live there. Thank you! |

Oh, I guess the guest book is a good place to leave messages too. Love ya lots. Still think you're my hero. For your next post: what do you EAT out there? what is their food like? AND what is white wine, you left me all agog.
