Happy Birthday Eric! It snowed last night just in time for your birthday. We love your journals - keep it up. Nicole got a new snow board and can't wait for you to see it! Lots of love from all of us. |

Happy birthday Bro! I can't wait to hear how you celebrated - maybe at the New Chicago Night Club. |

Good to hear you're doing well. The digs do look luxurious compared to the rest of the town. Your new business suit is especially fetching. Keep up the good work and don't go swimming in that lake.
P.S. Axel says to tell uncle Eric he's crawling. |

Eric:
Great to hear of your work in Cameroon. By the way (and as a Director of research) I have found that it was likely Wendell Wilkie, the Republican nominee for president in 1940.
Here's the whole quote from what I could find:
"No man has a right in America to treat any other man "tolerantly" for tolerance is the assumption of superiority. Our liberties are equal rights of every citizen."
Willkie, Wendell L. American industrialist (1892-1944)
Take care.

Great journal,
It was Wendal Wilkie who said that about tolerance. I wrote a paper on him when I was attending Harvard (ever hear of it). Actually I looked it up on Google.

Hey Man. Keep up the good work and the news. It really is fascinating. Especially when I'm sitting here in Calgary on April 10th looking at the snow that was not forecast and is about 12 inches deep so that 1/2 of the workforce didn't get to work. Quite a contrast. Of course, my office is probably bigger than your whole house, so I won't complain. Thanks for the news!! |

Hi love. you are the funniest man alive. Sounds like you're having the time of your life and I'm eternally jealous. Actually, not really. I would never last beyond a week - or maybe a day - where you are. Which is why you're writing the journal and I'm gnashing my teeth.
Samuel sends you a big slobbery kiss. |

The pictures are so great, Eric. Your life is a world away from here and the pics help give some shape to the stories...keep up the good work. It's truly admirable. :) PS The treadmill comment, hilarious. |

Eric: Thanks for the updates and pictures. I finally figured out how to navigate through this site. I love your stories and pictures. I had lunch with Ann the other day and I will be sending her this site as she is interested in your adventures as well.
