I enjoyed very much the pics and the descritptions. It is apparent that you dearly loved what you were doing and you did it with so much love and care. I am not familiar with Peru, but my family is from the neighboring country Ecuador. I have not been to Ecuador in over 25 years and though Peru is a beautiful and wondrous on its own, it so much reminds me of Ecuador. Viewing your pics. brings me a longing to go back with my children and have them discover the wonder and beauty such as I did so long ago. Thank you for sharing.

I was searching for information regarding travel to Peru and just happened upon your journals by accident. I had a riot reading them and I'm so disappointed to see that they have been removed from the site. I only read up until you were back from your first trip home to the states. Anyways, just wanted to let you know that you have a great knack for writing and I think you should put together a movie script of all of your adventures. I admire your decision to join the Peace Corp and would love to do something like that....if only the mortgage would pay for itself...ah the joys of life in North America. |

Hey. Congratulations on your completion of Peace Corps service and your return to the States. Best wishes in future, and may that include more exciting adventures yet to come. |

It sounds like you are having a wonderful adventure. Thanks for writing it all up on the internet so people can read about it and get enthusiastic and involved. You are spreading jealousy and activism in equal portions. |

I continue to enjoy your journal entries. Hope you get your computer fixed as I look forward to the report of your foray into the jungle. Also hope your knee is on the mend. On my last two visits to Peru I visited the Tambopata biological reserve to see the huge flocks of macaws on the colpas and the Manu biosphere reserve. Both jungle lodges and experiences were wonderful. My wife and I will be in Peru for 3 weeks in Sept. visiting our daughter, a PCV in Chiclayo. Hang in there, continue to do good work, and enjoy your last months in Peru. |

Thank you for the accolades! However I feel they are not deserving! Looks like everyone was enjoying themselves and Maria Montessori would be delighted by your efforts considering that she felt handwashing was very important work for younger children. The toothbrushes are comming for the next lesson in personal care.
All my love Mom xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

Hi: My daughter is a PCV, working in a small settlement near Chiclayo. She greatly enjoyed her visit to Cajamarca and we'll be spending some time with her there when we visit Peru later this year. Just wanted to wish you well .... and to let you know I'm enjoying reading your journal entries. |

Hi Bri, sounds like the family visit went well, mom and dad look good too.. love the journal input. Sounds like you are really settling in there.. cant say I am giving vacinations or anything like that, only giving tough hockey coaching in the snow.. it may not sound as painful. but believe me there are moments.. take care x steph |
