Hi, Carl! Got your message. Sounds amazing. We'll be watching the weather in Tokyo and Osaka more. Love, Mom

Hey Carl! Nice photos you have taken...very cool! Is it warm over there now like it has been over here? It's been like 60s-70s lately - very nice! Oh, you wouldn't believe who I ran into today in Harrisonburg! I saw Calvin from the German SFLI! It was cool seeing him; strange that I'd run into him, but he's doing well and living up here for the semester and then he's doing another immersion program - this time Russian! Anyway, hope all is well and you're having a blast, but I'm sure you are! When do you come back from your semester? Sometime in June? Take it easy!

I know that you haven't had much time to caption your pictures. Still, I'm wondering about the nem means no march. Are the people marching against the European Union or the war in Iraq? We are loaded with coverage of the war here--VERY SAD! Study hard. Love, Mom

Buddy! Sounds and looks like you're having the time of your life, which is what I hoped you have this semester. Beer Bike is tomorrow. Our theme this year is The Grateful Keg. SAS Night was also tonight, it was good as usual. I am enjoying all my classes, especially my Reli class with Kripal. Well I'll cut this short cuz I will email you. Ask your host mom if she could ever consider become vegetarian? Just curious because it seems that Hungarian food is dominated with meats... I miss you roomie but know that you're having an awesome time. Oh, I met your fall roommate, Alex I think was his name. What kind of digi camera are you using (megapixel, memory, res., etc.) I am in the market for one. Cheers: Mayhem. P.S. Talked with Jay tonight and he sends his best.

We watched the dancing video that you sent--nifty! We love you and are very proud. Your little brother, Blake, is in California with Dad, looking at CalArts and USC. I'm stuck in boring Virginia! Love, Mom

Dear Carl, Tell your host mom that the breakfast looks delicious. Have you offered to cook for them? Some American delicacies, like macaroni and cheese? Love, Mom

Wow Carl, Looks like you are having a blast there. I can't wait till my junior year when I can go abroad, even though it'll be in Germany, nothing new, but hey, still a good experience I think. Your photos are awesome...glad to see you are getting some good use out of the camera...haha, now you know why I took so many photos during the summer program at UVa - it's like addicting...hehe. How's the weather over there? Food decent? Anything crazy that we (americans) wouldn't be used to (food wise or anything else)? Alrighty, well good luck in your classes and excursions on the weekends and so forth...take it easy and hope to hear from you whenever you may get a chance.

Hey there CArl, Looks pretty cool. I know a few girls here who would like to check out Europe. I'll send them your link. Is there any mountain climbing there?

Carl! I finally got your Christmas card when I went to visit my parents this weekend; now that I know the address, I'm having a lovely morning reading your journal. Very curious about the food in Budapest--can you take a digipic of a meal or grocery store aisle or something equally exciting? Hope you're having a great time in Prage!!
