These are some of my observations from my travels. The people I met, the places I saw, the impressions I got. It is not a diary, nor is it an attempt to poetry. The listings are not internally ranked, and they are not in chronological order. All stories are to the best of my knowledge historically accurate, but may not be politically correct..."He who travels has a story" is an expression I firmly believe in. The traveller's part of the deal is to get his/her butt to the location. Stories will then come to you. Actively seeking a story is reserved to journalism (which on the other hand can be joyfully combined with travelling...). However, for the hobby vagabond the most interesting stories will fall in his/her lap, they will not be the result of significant efforts spent. The greatest assets for the traveller are the six (!) senses; listen to the local taxi driver, taste the local beer, smell the local spices, touch and feel the local architecture, watch the local street life, and be smart and follow your instincts to the local treasure. These, combined with a simple camera, can generate more powerful experiences and memories than money (or MasterCard) can buy.
