Wow, I am sooooo jealous of your trip to the falls. I love waterfalls, you feel so powerless next to them. Seriously, your journals are superb and I think you should consider becoming a professional travel writer, especially as you are so handy with the camera as well. Dare I ask? Are you ever planning to come home?

Yay! Had a couple of days off work (have got over the withdrawal symptoms now ha ha - its TAs coming out day and I havent been on the phone get me!), have caught up with all the journals i missed! It sounds absolutely AMAZING and the pictures are brilliant - like you said, it must be so awesome to see these places for real not on TV! And I'm more than a bit jealous that u are a TV STAR! Even it is in a brazilian commercial!!!! Did a bit of travelling myself if u can count this - we climbed Snowdon! I know its not exactly the same as travelling all around South America for 18 months but was a challenge for me! Michelle came as well, and my Esther who did brilliant for a 7 year old, overtook Ant, which he wasnt too impressed by! xxxxx

Absolutely my favourite entry of your journey!! Not a bad entry for one so speechless...! The dam (nothing wrong with being a spotter of those) and the falls look like something else. I'm extremely jealous! Never mind the TV star - ha ha! "Caradona" on the back of that Argentina shirt was it?

Re the Portuguese: In Portugal, Madeira and with Polly I spoke Spanish with what I guessed was Portuguese Pronunciation : ie. final ·S· as ·sh· and ·O· as ·OO· as in ·food. Had a good laugh and was understood. Understanding them is harder.....sounds Russian. Reading is no problem, very similar...learn vocab by comparison! Good luck!

Hi Caz, It's been a while, for which I can only apologise!!! Having caught up on your exploits again I notice the bikini has gone, the hair has been cut and a new trans-seasonal capsule wardrobe has appeared! I am loving Argentina , particularly Lula. Also glad to see you mounted (on a trusty steed that is). The photos are just superb. So pleased to see you happyt and well. I am placing bets that you won't come back to the UK. Lots of love.

Wow - what an experience! Can see why you loved Lula - did you leave her behind or is she in your backpack?

Hi Carolyn, My mom (Christine) is a cousin of your mom´s! I´m in Spain right now staying with your parents at the farmhouse! It´s absolutely beautiful here and we´re taking great advantage of the pool! It has been a nice little vacation from my travelling! I´ve been travelling around Europe for a month and I have another month to go! On to Italy and Greece next! Anyways, I just wanted to say hi! Your trip looks like it has been a blast! Went to Panama and Costa Rica for 3 weeks a couple of years ago and would love to go back! And you must let me know the volunteer organizations you worked with because I would very much like to do the same! Well safe travels and I hope we can meet one day! Take care, Natalie

Loved the photos of the salt flats - puts the Torrevieja ones in the shade - and the desert: my type of " countryside ". You·ve put the cacti we·ve got here to shame! I thought we had good ones! Hasta luego.
