Wow, looks like you've been up to a lot the last few months. That fiasco with the trains was mind boggling - something I'd only expect to see on TV or a movie. Glad it worked out, and you didn't end up on TV as an unfortunate news story. Wish I'd seen this site earlier. Lot of stuff to read. I read quite a bit of it just now (I'm at work, shhh), but I'll have to keep up from here on out. Good luck on the rest of your trip, and try to avoid any more near-death experiences ;-)

Naomi+junk gets booted out;last day @ dorm is Friday, May 12, at noon. Ted & maybe Sharon ???, if I get up in time, will go up to help her move TV + Scooter, etc. back home ??? Riverfest starts tomorow, also. We had fun in Wash.D.C.! I got to see Grant Woods' "American Gothic" in real life!!!(The American farmer + wife + pitchfork portrait). Also went to symphony 35th celebration @ Kennedy Center, with various artists, including Judy Collins, who sang "Clouds". We had to split seats up, and the $75 ticket holder got to sit next to Collin Powell!!(I was in balcony with $40 seat.) We picketed the personal homes of the Pres. of American Bankers'Assoc.,plus head beauracrat of new Medicare Part D fiasco, to ask to extend the impossible May 15 deadline. I played my accordian, while we marched around in circles, etc. It was fun! We were in the Wash.Post, CNN,. and FOX news. I only threw-up on the airplane 4 times, flying in, on Air Tran. Also we visited Sen Brownback's office & Sen Pat Roberts.Pat Robert's snooty secretary doubled the security guards when all the poor little scrawny Mexicans walked in. I think she was racist! Brownback is way cool, but Roberts just talks in circles. Boo!!-Love, Mom

hi g-ma, yea i do really love barcelona, its an amazing city! lots of parks and an astounding amout of modern architecture! and as for the europe in 10 days tour, thats totally not happening, i actually dont leave until august 1st, so its actually europe in 90 days! which right now seems daunting but i think i am strong enough to do it!!! today was much easier on the feet, i went to the zoo and walked around the parc citadella. i also went on another stroll down las ramblas and had dinner on the Rambla. tomorow i have a day trip to valencia to see the arts and sciences buildings by santiago calatrava, i am really excited to see that, and by this time tommorow i should be in madrid standing in line to buy bull fighting tickets!

Hi B-Boy, You must like Barcelona. A whole 3 days? what happened to "Europe in 10 days" tour? what are plans and destinations? I did love Brittany if you get that way. Rennes is the gateway to Mont St. Michel and a bus will take you from there right to the gate. don't miss seeing the tide sweep in and stay on the Mont if you can! Would really like to see some pics of Omaha Beach etc. if you get that way. Hugs!

ok heres a great TRUE story i just got emailed from a friend. At santa chiara in italy there was a cool guy there from colorado state named john. hes real big, like 6'5 or something, anyways he was in rome last sunday to catch his flight home to the us when the airline he was flying on wouldnt let him check a bag he had because it was way to big. so after lots of argueing finally his friends convinced him to take everything out that was important and leave the rest of the stuff in the bag and leave it there in the airport. so he did and boarded his plane. right before takeoff police with dogs swarmed the plane and took him off, and took him to an interagation room and asked him all sorts of questions while they checked out his bag with what he described as lights and tubes and wires and metal detecters and such. meanwhile, during his interagation, security evacuated the ENTIRE airport and shut it down completly due to the supposed giant bag bomb threat!! he of course missed his flight and is in a very sore mood!
