Hey Badgerjen,
I'm Tristan I'm a photographer from Cambridge.I'm going to travel to Japan at the end of August, I've been really enjoying your journal. I'll be staying in Utsunmiya with a friends dad could you let me know some of your favourite places to go both in Mito and across Japan. I'm really interested in going to Kairakuen Park, not sure which shrine is better and also 'bubble' club, so planning experiencing as much of the culture as possible, any help you can give is really appreciated
Thanks,
Tris |

Hi badgerjen, Thank you for writing your journal. I've only read a couple of entries, but you have a way of talking about daily things that are actually of interest. I am going to be coming to Japan in April to work for Interac, and your stories are preparing me. I was an exchange student in Kawasaki many moons ago; it's going to be so different this time around with bills and bosses, etc.
Going to China for the Olympics sounds fantastic. Something that you could talk about for the rest of your life.
I can't belive you uploaded 1334 pictures. I like the ones showing the inside of an apartment(not sure if those were yours), especially the storage area under each step.

I stumbled across your journal and it is interesting to read about your experiences in Japan. I hope you are enjoying yourself and are not to homesick.
Not sure where home is for you but if you get the chance to travel around lake yamanaka you should. It is really beautiful, lots of mountains and valley's.
Also MT Mitake is a good trip take the cable car to the top of the mountain and visit the village lots of older more traditional Japaneses homes. |
