¡hola, ashby74!
my husband and i are planning to move to méxico in the near future. we travel there at least once a year, and love mexico city and the center of the country (we are not beach sorts). puebla, atlizco, and that area would be ideal, as they're close to friends, mexico city, and not terribly hot. (we're open to other countries w/temperate weather -- w/mountain views, but water views ok.)
any suggestions?

Como esta? I hope you still are enjoying your time in Samara. I sure as hell miss it! I am back here in Switzerland for a month, and already I am looking forward to travel again! End of august I will join the US again :) Two months, traveling and staying with my hostfamily. After that: SAMARA I am coming *yeah* I can't wait. Maybe you'll still be there. If yes, drop me a message.
Enjoy a drink at las Olas for me, ok? Miss the times we spent there.

Wow, you are right, the central mercado we went to in CR doesn't even compare to the one in Nic...Boo...sorry I missed it...But one thing is for sure, the Cake-A looks exactly the same, looks good but tastes baaaddd...YUCK!!! |

Hey Johnny!! Thanks so much for this funny travel journal.. I do feel with you and I can still see all the places you write about... feels like yesterday I've been there...or months ago... all at the same time. I've never met such an enthusiastic and eager to learn gringo like you... What a shame I don't have a video of your "Micheline-imitation".. have to check with Nadja/Rachel if it can be put on youtube...hehe. Enjoy the rest of your time in Samara and where ever you will go.
