Welcome to the Travel Journal of Ashby. If you are reading this....it can only mean one of two things:
1. Random web surfing
2. I have directed you here in order to explain where the hell I am right now.
After grinding it out in corporate America year after year.......I have decided to take some time and actually try enjoying life for a change. There have been a number of events over the past year that have changed my views/attitudes on life.....and I have come to the conclusion that spending another decade working my ass into the ground is not something that I aspire to do. That being said, I have put my life into two duffel bags and have decided to venture out to accomplish something meaningful for a change. Learning a foreign language has been a goal of mine for a very long time, so I have enrolled in an immersion school in Costa Rica. I will be spending the next few months taking Spanish classes and learning as much as possible about the Costa Rican culture. I am going to try my best to keep this site up to date with my progress in school....as well as my travel stories.
If anyone has questions about immersion schools or traveling to Costa Rica......feel free to send me a message. I spent a number of months researching many different schools and would be happy to help anyone out that is looking to jump ship.
