Got your card, many thanks, I can see the monkey bites on it! India seems like a snappers dream! Fiona looks so pleased with herself, amongst the elephants, unshine and temples. It didn't get above freezing here today. Keep having a great time.

I've e-mailed a message, but just in case you don't get it, a truncated version here. Hope you had a great time in Rajasthan - Rowan was there when she was 17, travelling on her own, which had its hairy moments! Hope to catch up with Kath next week at the ballet. Thanks for all the vicarious excitement!

Message for Sheila Holden. We tried to reply to your query but the email bounced back. Not sure if we have the correct address - send it again?

Ooooo...my aching head, combine that with a dry mouth and general lethargy and yes, its the Scots disease - Hogmanitis. The TV was poor; Donnie Munro (politician) looks very like the guy that used to sing in Clarsach, or something but with the blood sucked out of him. Many fireworks round the Crom Firth - but so what. The kids are active and we are passive and are going to see Narnia for a bit of shuteye. Your year of adventure has barely started - you know it will be a good one.

Thanx for the pants. Hope you have a Great New Year. Try this link if you're needing a dose of Scottish Snow. You need speakers though and it will confound non Scots. www.chunkideas.com/snowball/ Have Fun! Ralph

Just getting up to date with the latest entry. The riverboat sounds a great way to travel, not least the food. Christmas is pretty much like it has been all your other years, but joyfully for you this year, is not. ICT beat Hibs 2-0 on Boxing day, if you are interested. Glad tidings from the rainbound.

Merry Christmas and have a happy new year when it comes. Belated birthday wishes too. All the best from the Grieves in sunny (well, err....) Leith. Looks like your having a fabby time, and I'm sure you're not missing the multiple cold viruses which we are sharing between each other in relays. So as the dreich drizzle drapes itself over the house I shall wish you all the best again until 2006. See youse. David

Hi Fi and Archie, Finally had a few minutes to catch up on your journals. The house boat sounds magnificent. Missed your birthday - many apologies, but it sounds as if you didn't spend your day worrying about my lapse. I'm off now to celebrate Martin's 18th. The cake I've made can't compare with yours, but it should taste good. Have a wonderful year end, whatever culture's festives you're celebrating (Chanukah for me!).
