Hey Amanad, Sorry you're not feeling well. The girls are doing fine. If Jer needs/wants to stay a bit longer, I can watch the girls...I'll shoot him an email and let him know. Feel better girl.

Hey Amanda!
I am having a blast reading your journal entries! I am cracking up just picturing all of the funny situations you find yourself in! I usually forget about checking for a few days and then spend so long catching up that Matt is always calling for me wondering what I am doing on the computer for so long! Sounds like you are having some wonderful experiences! Hope you and Jeremy are having a great time catching up! Tell him hello for me! Love you- Betsy |

Hi Amanda,
Hello! I’m home from my e-vacation. Had a wonderful time, thanks. I bet you’re excited about Jeremy coming to visit – I’m excited about my min-vacation to DC where I’ll systematically erase all memory of you and Jeremy from Penny and Cassidy’s mind and teach them to love me and only me (just kidding! I’ll take super good care of them :-P). It sounds like things are exciting as ever there…Glad to hear that your work with WV is going well and you’re finding folks helpful. I can barely communicate in English, much less have the courage to try and do so in another language…hats off to you! I’m eager to hear how your jeans turn out and I’m sure you don’t have parasites…you’d be much sicker if you did (from one who knows!). Keep posting…
Cheers,
Darby

Hey! Sounds like you are having an amazing trip. I miss having you around the office. We could've had so many long lunches with everyone gone :) Keep up the good work with the Spanish & enjoy the rest of your time there. |

Hola Chica!
Thanks for the entertainment! I'm living vicariously through you - wishing we had seen and done the things you're doing when we were in Ecuador. I'm so proud of you - you're an amazing young woman - and always have been! I trust Jer knows how lucky he is to have you! Looks like we need to take a trip to DC in the fall and hear all about your trip in person. Have a wonderful time, learn a lot, and give it all you've got. Love you! Su Tia (how's my Spanish?) |

Hi Honey! Dad and I are thoroughly enjoying visiting your website every day to check out all your new adventures. I'm also sharing them with the women at work and they're pretty impressed. You certainly do keep us laughing - as usual! I got the newest Harry Potter book yesterday - it's great and you'll love it! Sonja worked the Harry Potter party at Barnes & Noble on Friday night - they had close to 900 people attend. What a riot! You're in our thought and prayers - and in those of lots of people as well! Missing talking on the phone! Love, mom |

Amanda,
I have been checking your website regularly and love reading about your adventures! You have been in my prayers, as I know the adjustment has been a bit of a struggle. We plan to have Jeremy over for dinner soon, so no worries. Continue to have a blast, and keep us posted on the trip. You are learning and absorbing so much more than you think!! Continue to press on and don't get discouraged by work. Enjoy the experience. Much love from Virginia, Jen Prevette |

Hi Amanda,
I'm in Auckland now, New Zealand is great! Just a short hop from Antarctica to Auckland. There are certainly a lot of sheep here, but I’ve found some great wool sweaters and eaten some fantastic lamb. MMMMM! :-)
That fruit and veggie pile you pictured looks so yummy!...I’m coveting it! I wish my thumb was that green!
So, you’re encountering some challenges. Hmmm…how can I encourage you?...well, God doesn’t give us more than we (we being you and God) can handle, so seek Him in this. You’re doing good work with WV and regardless of your level of fluency in Spanish, I’m certain that your servant’s heart is shinning through. Try reading Philippians 4:13….my favorite verse.
In the meantime, enjoy those salsa lessons and stay away for those hairy, sweaty men. First its wild dogs, then biting horses, now strange men…..I think Jeremy needs to come down there and rescue you! Keep your chin up
Blessings,
Darby

Hello Mrs. Brady, It sounds like you've got a good thing going with your attire and being a dissapointment to your somewhat unattractive salsa dance partner. Lets keep up the good work while your down there and remember that there is only one slightly smelly man in your life. Madly in love with you,
Jeremy |

Hola chica! It's so good to hear about your trip and see your pictures! This is a great little website. Sounds like you are having a blast. I'm so glad you ended up going to Ecuador! Nate and I just got back from Nicaragua and in two weeks we are going to Mexico. I hope you are practicing your espanol mucho! Enjoy every moment you have there. Your journal entries are so fun to read! You are such a terrific writer! Miss you, -Tam |

I love reading the excitement in your writing.
You're inspiring me to get up and do SOMETHING!
I'm so happy for you.
By the way, what is the elevation of Quito? If you are dehydrated and quickly lose your breath, it must be a quite high.
I'm loving your advenutres.

Hi Amanda!
Sounds like you're having tons of fun! I need to travel like you...but I can't image being as brave as you are with your food/drink choices...or dancing - my hideous attempts at dancing could ignite some serious hostel S. American/American relations!
I've decided to go on my own "summer journey" and will therefore, leave guest book messages from various unusual locations. Today, I'm in Antarctica. The weather is great, nice and cool. I can't stand the heat back in the states.
I met the CUTEST Springer pup Sat.! Her name was Mia and she was such a devil! Reminded me A LOT of my gal, Penny. Sweet but with a mind of her own.
Watch out for more unruly dogs and biting horses. Should we mail you one of those containers truck drivers use to relieve themselves on the road – they make ‘em for us ladies nowadays? ;-P

Hola, I spoke with Jeremy this morning. He has lots of home repairs to keep him busy until your return.
I was working with the wrong blog address until now. I'm very happy!
I've read your journal, great fun exciting and wonderful exposure to other cultures, life styles, attitudes, etc. I'm muy feliz for you.
I have a city map of Quito, and found S. Bolivar School. When you write if you could give locations/addresses/districts I'd love to follow your travels.
I might see Jeremy this coming week, I'll be near Philly.
Be safe with the walking alone and the juice beverages.
Adios y Amar, POP |
