I read your plea to Mr. David Dodge, the Governor of the Bank of Canada. I'm sure Mr. Dodge will pick up on it and act accordingly and expeditiously. When I served on the Board and the Executive Committee, I was one of four directors responsible in hiring him, so Mr. Dodge can obviously do no wrong in the eyes of our Selection Committee. Mr. Dodge would particularly act in the best interests of all Canadian exchange students in dire straights, such as you. Oh Canada!

I object to Grandpa's claim to fame about Scotland. As always, I think he's really stretching it. Sounds like he's been drinking too much Scotch, eh! In fact, when I flew to London many years ago over the Polar route I had a stop over in Scotland, which is more than Grandpa can claim. When he flew over a few days earlier he went directly to London and then on to Birmingham. The weather here is a cool 82 F.

By the way, you are not the first one in the family to go to Scotland. When I was 2 years old my parents moved from Transcona, Manitoba, to Scotland ......Avenue, where we lived for 4 years, before moving to out new home on Lorette .....Avenue.
