Weekend Plans

2005-10-07, Koshigaya, Japan

There are a few things exciting this weekend - one being that tonight Z.'s work is having a birthday party for him tonight which promises to be fun. Sunday, first Japanese rugby game. A friend is playing way out in the country so his girlfriend is driving us all out there. I am looking forward to seeing a new part of Japan and plan to bring the camera to give you all an idea of what I am seeing. Monday is Thanksgiving and as there is no turkey to be found here (I even checked with the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo) I will at least try to make some thanksgiving side dishes. Or something. Monday will also be Adventure into Tokyo Day to find bright things to cheer this flat up a bit. Had Japanese curry for lunch - which is not really a curry you would see in Canada. It's deep fried chicken on rice with spicy gravy. So amazingly good and so bad for you! I got lots of comments saying how big this flat looks and how it seems like more space than you would imagine for an apartment here. Yesterday I was told that this kind of flat is usually for families. I assume a small family.
