So this weekend was Chusok weekend here in the South of Korea...it was great. Its' their version of Thanksgiving here, unfortunately they don't actually eat turkey...quelle dommage. Funny actually, one of the Korean teachers went to university for French so who knows?! I might come back all able to speak conversational French...that'd be friggin SWEEET!!!

So this weekend we (Brian, Andrea and I) went out to Suwon subway station area to drink, and drink we did! Loads of beer and eventually we ended up drinking outside the FamilyMart (think Avondale) drinking some Soju with yoghurt and Chilsung Cider (Ginger Ale) all mixed together...damn its good!!! I think I'll be missing the soj when I go back to Canada

Speaking of Canada, on Sunday Brian and I went to a Scavenger hunt that was organized by a couple of brits who were saying good bye to a couple of friends whose contracts are over and they're going back to whichever country they're from. Anywho, during the day I met four other Canadians!! It made me feel soooooo happy! I could talk Timmies, I could talk 2-4s (brits call them "trays" of beer), I could talk paul martin and This Hour and Air Farce and make serious fun of Celine! And we decided to dress up as characters from Trailer Park Boys for Halloween! ASSAHHHH!!! (that means awesome!)

Currently my Korean language skills consist of (and no promises on spelling here) noreabang (Karaoke), PC bang (web cafe), Kimchi (that wonderful spicy fermented cabbage side dish), Kam-ja-tang (potato soup with the spine of a pig in it), Soju (korean alcoholic drink thats cheap as water here, but is much much stronger than water!) and mekju (BEER!!!). The sad thing about beer here is that its only 4.5% which means its weak. The good thing is that it only costs 6000 won for a 2L pitcher of beer!

And on that note, I'm done for the updating today...talk soon!

LUVS You ALL!
